    How about, first 7 games before you met United:

    W L D W W W W - 18 goals scored, beat Chelsea, Arsenal and drew with Spurs

    Last 7 games

    L D W W W W D (could bump this to 9 and include another draw, or include cup games another D and L) - 16 goals scored only 1 big team in City.

    now lets compare United who are on an upward trajectory

    So, in summary, their in blistering form, possibly the best spell they'll have all season (time will tell), but remain five points behind?

    Or in other words, they'll have to do the same again, whilst we also do the same again, just to get their noses ahead of us? They would then need to better than us in the run in too. That's three superb spells on the trot!

    We're more likely to crumble than that happen but Man Utd will still need the superb form to overtake and beat Arsenal, Spurs, Man City and / or Chelsea to get top four.

    I don't think any of us who point out some of the weaknesses of the team were being over critical. This is the best point tally at this stage of the season we've had in the league.And it is a remarkable praise worthy performance. Just a shame that almost all the other 5 top teams have also performed as well. In any other season, we would have been top. But then all the others can say the same.

    Yes, we have done well. But if we are to win the title then we have to cut out the mistakes against the minnows and be more ruthless. And more consistent.

    BTW supporters don't need to be blind and not see faults in their own sides or strengths in others. <whistle>

    Eh? Even if you look at the table since the game Coutinho got injured we are the 2nd highest goalscorers in the premier league in that period.

    Since we last played then we've picked up more points scored more goals and kept more clean sheets. Hardly say we've been on a downward trajectory.

    The wheels are coming off the Chelsea juggernaut.

    Isn't it amazing that a long winning run is always followed by other issues? People think that Chelsea being beaten by Spurs away is no big deal and they'll just pick up from where they left. It doesn't work like that.

    Our chances of the title have now massively improved.
