Now were signing all these players Pusic New CB & Stewart's return our 16 man squad no matter how **** you think some players are there'll be 20 players all pushing for a place. Gulacsi Basso Rosenior McShane Chester Hobbs New CB Dudgeon Dawson Devitt Stewart Koren Brady Barmby Harper Cairney Pusic McKenna Evans Simpson Fryatt Adebola McLean 23 men all having a fair pop of a go at a place in the 16 and 7 won't even get to admire the 'attacking' football we play :/ Now not all will be fit but what would be your... 16 plus a cover for injuries. 17 man squads? Some positions pick themselves so it maybe easier to say which 7 you would leave out.
Which 7 would I leave out? On what I have seen so far: Simpson, Simpson, Simpson, Hobbs, Fryatt, Fryatt and Fryatt.
I'm not sure why Simpson is getting so much more blame than Fryatt. If you want to talk about strikers being ****e they've both been well up there these last two games.
Defenders - Dawson and one of the 3 centre backs. - Rosenior, two centre backs and Dudgeon with McShane on the bench gives us cover for all the backline. Midfield - Devitt and Harper, one of the 4 wide players (Stewart, Brady, Pusic, Koren) because 2 on the bench is a luxury, one of Barmby, McKenna, Evans, and Cairney, two of them starting with Barmby on the bench seems the likely option but I haven't seen McKenna yet (Blackpool on TV doesn't count because I'd had a few drinks by then). Forwards - McLean - Fryatt and Simpson I've seen play well and look dangerous even if they're not at the moment, McLean I never have, Adebola at least gives us a different option up front.
Gulacsi, Basso Rosenior, Hobbs, Chester, Dudgeon, Ayala? Brady, Stewart, Evans, McKenna, Koren, Cairney Fryatt, McLean, Simpson
There are reports that we've offered him a deal, that's bullshit, personal terms haven't yet been discussed. Swansea are in the same position as us as far as the transfer goes, so he basically has a choice of Swansea or Hull City. Hmm.
I thought that I'd read that our offer was accepted and that we were given the go-ahead to discuss personal terms with him. Have Swansea matched our offer, or just registered an interest?
We have had a bid accepted, but Ayala's agent has yet to meet with Hull City officials. As far as I know Swansea have matched our offer - with Norwich also interested, I'd be surprised if we were even in the running now. If he does join us I'll quite happily eat humble pie by the way
