Forster, Cedric, Yoshida, Van Dijk, Bertrand, Romeu, Clasie, Davis (if fit), Redmond, Sims, Rodriguez. Considering how good Burnley are at home I'd happily take a draw!
Expect the usual rotation with 4/5 changes. Forster, Bertrand, Yoshida, VVD, Martina, JWP, Romeu, Hojbjerg, Sims, Redmond, Rodriguez.
This will be the sixth game ive attended this season and have only seen us score twice. Think we're saving all our goals for this one....5-4 to Saints
Finished Bartons book over xmas, it was quite interesting. He's going to be coach one day, if someone gives him a chance, either that or he'll snap and kill a coach one day!
Michael Oliver is refereeing Man United v Liverpool on Sunday so it makes sense for him to be 4th official for this one to mentor an inexperienced PL referee.
We are in a fine inn in the Malverns having walked the hills today following last night's excitement. We travel on to Lancashire tomorrow where an evening in the Irwell brewery awaits. Match day pre and post match supping in the wonderfully named 'Crooked Billet' in the village of Worsthorne some 4miles from Burnley where taxi/minibuses ferry you to and from the game. COY Saints.
A very different scenario to the one against Liverpool. Wednesday we we're soaking pressure and threatened on the counter, while we are probably going to have a lot more of the ball against Burnley who will be happy to sit back. We might see a return of our slow and ponderous build up. I don't expect an easy match, but hopefully will keep our defensive solidity and nick one goal on the other end. Some changes in the midfield are ok, but otherwise the same lineup, please. Save changes for the FA cup match.
