lol, no mate, trust me they didn't.

I watched Rodriguez closely when they came to Goodison, he's formed a very good understanding with Redmond, if the pair of them were more natural finishers then Saints would be a real handful.

If Karius starts Sunday then expect Mignolet to chuck his teddy out.

nah the amount of cheap stuff he let us away with was unreal.

    saints didn't get many calls.

If i were mingolet i'd hand in a transfer request of so. i'd not blame him,

Mignolet or Karius, neither are good enough to win the title, except by luck. Would be surprised if we
do not buy a keeper in summer especially if we are in the champion league.

Very poor performance, maybe our players are saving their energies for united game. Nevertheless should have got out
    of their shells last night:police::police:,

yup i mean the ref heavily favoured us on the night. he was ridiculously bad and wound the saints players right up.

The ref in the plymouth game was similar. we fell over he would blow. that ref lost his card. last night the turd booked a saints player cor complaining about an obvious foul after the ref failed to blow up about 3 times in a row.

Absolutely. Can't see what, if anything, will change before the second leg, except maybe our (good) uck. You'll easily draw, if not win the second leg. Unless Van Djik, Redmond, Romeue et al can get themselves banned before the second leg... :emoticon-0138-think

Ref clearly told that a United v Liverpool final is worth more money <whistle>

He really was shocking... no big decisions but just constantly giving you fouls for little and not us for the same offence. Same with cards... we had a player booked for stopping a counter after a corner. Then Lucas (i think?) got away with exact same offence. Inconsistent as ****.

I don't normally like to whinge about refs but he truly was diabolical from start to finish <doh>

Bloody hell. Jinxes, curses - it takes me back to my childhood in the middle ages.

It is a vile kit, though.

Be honest, even if we have CL next season, VVD wouldn't touch us with a barge pole if Chelsea and City are interested. I think by summer it'll be between Barca and Real anyway - he's the stand-out CB in Europe atm (and Neil Lennon, a Red, desperately tried to hawk him to us two years ago - ****ing Moneyball system my arse).

Well Henderson will be back. Coutinho will have more game time under his belt. Dunno about Matip?

Whole different game now. I honestly think it depends on our approach. If we come there and try to defend for 90 minutes, then we'll come unstuck imo.

Need to approach same as last night. Be solid, but press and carry a threat on the break.

I still make you lot slight favourites tbh.

Gutted it's not a week later as I doubt I'll be able to go :(

Lucas was smart though - it was a block, but he made it look like he'd tried to get the ball. Whereas your guy just hauled ours back.
I do agree that you were badly done to, but like you say, not for any big decisions.
