We're taking a punt on a bloke who's been a disaster at his current club and they're currently paying him £55k a week to play for the U23's. Normally, when taking a punt like this, you get them a discounted rate, as the parent club are desperate to see the back of him and anything that reduces their liability and gives them a chance of offloading him is seen as a good thing. £55k a week for a proven striker for six months would be no biggie, but for a major punt, it's a big wedge. It's also risky, as we have only two domestic loan spots and this uses up one of them. I don't think it's anything to do with being in Hull, fans of most clubs would be the same.
£220 large a month on a player who, let's be honest, looks like a right load of dogger. World's gone mad.
Has he played for us yet? Was he given fair chance at everton? You choose the everton two games Some see talent in the sporting lisbon game Wouldnt it be better to reserve judgement till hes actually farted in our kit? too negative 55k a week is **** all these days We have subs on 40k plus a week fact Whats diomande and mbokani on between them bet its more than 55k and there dog doo too
For me, it's the fact that we are allegedly paying ALL of his wages that doesn't stack up. Everton aren't going to play him, I just can't believe that a 100% wage contribution would be remotely required. It's just odd. But then it's probably newspaper bullshit any'ow.
Were bottom of the league, weve the smallest squad in the league, weve no strikers Do you think clubs havnt realised the above and cant kind of hold us to ransom? Come on
Yep. Anyway most January transfers you pay over the odds. cos the team is usually desperate in some way.
Why do so many posters struggle with this? You can't read the name Hull City or hear it in the media without a comment about how desperate we are for players. Silva openly admits it, the injury list and team selection proves it and this forum is full of comments about it. Yet people are still shocked that other clubs are having our pants down. It's just market forces, you sell for the price you can get and when desperate Hull come calling you can get a lot more.
Was that supposed to be funny? South American footballers from various countries have when coming to say, Italy and Spain had the right to become naturalised nationals of their host countries due to perceived ancestor links. This has been happening, on and off since the 1930s. Obviously it happens all the time when England appropriates South Africans, Irish etc for the England cricket team. Still awaiting signings?
I think I should explain the above post. I haven't eaten much today and have consumed a quantity of red wine. I am in a state of flux, I am confused and I am not thinking rationally. I can't be arsed to cook anything and I can be arsed to drink a whole lot more. Not good. I do not predict it will end well and it is only 7.20 pm. For Gods sake look after our people. Out.
