Nerves and excitement ****ing kicking in big time now One thing I'd like to say to fans concerned about the atmosphere should it not start well is... Well we all have a part to play regarding that... if we go 1 down early and are misplacing passes etc. and the groans & whinging start... Then DON'T go into the 'our fans our ****' or 'spoiled twats' mindset as negativity breeds negativity. Instead do your bit to try and rally those around you, keep singing even if it is alone for a while and you feel like a twat. Generally speaking there's only a minority at each end of the scale and the rest follow the loudest. So if enough people are trying to keep the atmosphere going then I believe in a game of this magnitude the majority will follow. I honestly think we have almost a big a part to play as the team here. You just know the home crowd will in the return. UP THE ****ING SAINTS!!!
While I'm here... how about a song for Mr Puel tonight? Claude, Claude, whoever you may be, You joined the famous, Southampton FC, And you can shag my wife, on my front room settee (sp?), If you win the cup, at Wem-bley! (Repeat) I'm assuming I don't need to state the tune
Going to miss virtually the whole game because of football training, wonder if I'll be able to record it and avoid finding out anything about the score when I get home at 10?
Need to remember that this is only the first leg so if we do lose by a narrow margin then it's not all doom and gloom just yet. Having said that we will win by 4.
Good idea - I have the following: Claude Puel is red and white, red and white, red and white Claude Puel is red and white He has no particularly strong feelings about Pompey. Doesn't quite scan but I'm very proud of it
Given the Lovren/Long incident, last season at SMS, I think I would have been tempted to go with Long's pace and launch long balls into space, to see what might happen. On my way, shortly.
