samir - We didn't manage to get a single shot at Camp Nou because we were parking the bus.

RVP was sent off after an hour...still no shot! <yikes>...ironically he then gets sent off for taking one! <laugh>

    The Premier League table?
And Chelsea have been vastly overspending since '94, so....

Can you two knock it off now though, please?
I know that there's no football to talk about, as such, but this is just going to descend into another slanging match.

Great link DL, the history of the PL, endorsing what we've been saying all along, cheers for that! <ok>...you're just a bunch of johnny come lately's with money...for now! Despite the success you've had in recent decades, you only equalled our major trophy count with that last (and first ever!:D) double.

As fans of course we care about our clubs entire history, and no doubt before the start of the "Premiership" Spurs were undoubtedly the more succesful side.
However and this is the key point, to a young footballer growing up they are going to class Chelsea as the bigger club. Whereas we assicoiate them traditionally as a mid table club, kids today are just going to think they are big. Take that Lukaku kid, does he care how poor Chelsea were throughout the 80's? He will just class Chelsea as a "big" club because he has grown up during a period where Chelsea have been a major force.
Young footballers will all class United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool as bigger attractions and that is the problem we are facing and are going to continue to face unless the club recieves some serious investment.

Anyways onto more pressing concerns, can we sign a top striker by deadline day and find a buyer for some of our deadwood? Heres hoping :emoticon-0107-sweat

Plus, of course some Russian bloke waving a large cheque in front of your face, can have a certain galvanising effect!
