you could also correlate the goals conceded with Dawson being in the squad - he didn't start the season as soon as he came back we started leaking goals
I did actually suggest that as an issue. It also correlates with Jake moving out of the backline - when he moved back against Swansea we kept a CS.
That is an interesting point. I think he is coming to the end of his shelf life. Becoming more of a liability
Sometimes I just think papers look for a story? They see him not in the team and make something up. Hope I'm proved right.
I don't think it correlates to any of these things. I think it's every player not doing his job right. We started leaking goals before Marshall signed, before Dawson returned and before Jake moved to midfield. Arsenal was the first time. We started conceding chances with sloppy defending against Leicester, we did the same against Swansea. Both teams failed to capitalise on the multiple opportunities we presented them. Curtis Davies has been a big culprit for a lot of goals conceded. Playing next to Dawson or Jake or Harry or in front of Jak or Marshall doesn't affect his basic ability and concentration. The defending by every player in that back line and the protection offered by those in front of them has been laughable. The team has been a disorganised, uncoordinated **** splat. That is the reason we have conceded so many goals. I can't believe I'm having to spell this out but there you go.
Funny you should say that a group of us were saying that on Saturday at the Swansea game, I think the goal keeping situation has deflected attention away from him over the last few weeks.
NIASSE LATEST We understand Hull have agreed a loan deal with Everton for Oumar Niasse until the end of the season, when they'll have the option to make the deal permanent for £10m. The clubs were finalising the terms with Niasse yesterday and the striker could become the first signing of Marco Silva’s reign. Looks like he'll be announced today.
With Ehab doing the business the word COULD takes on a whole new meaning, hope to Christ he doesn't pull one of his eleventh hour stunts.
Everton have made a bid worth in the region of £10.5m for 24-year-old Standard Liege striker Ishak Belfodil.
You never know what's happened behind the scenes. There's a reason they spent that money on him, he completely ripped up the Russian League, there's certainly a player in their. I for one won't write a player off before he's even played for us
12 goals in 28 appearances is 'completely ripping up' the Russian league? Mbokani had 16 in 33. Did he also completely rip up the Russian League?
Last season was 8 in 13 starts in the league, and 6 assists. He also got 4 in 6 in the Europa league as well as 2 assists. He had a great start to the year
Ok. My opinion on Niasse is pretty clear by now. We're just going round in circles. He hasn't even officially signed yet.
realistically syd we aren't getting better, allams wont spend, we couldn't afford a proven Pl striker so whoever we buy is a punt/gamble. The plus about this is its a loan deal, if he's crap he go's back and if he isn't and we stay up we buy him for £10m and it looks good business
We can only hope he comes good- for all I hear he works very hard and has a bit of pace, so he's at least as good as Dio then
