    The arndale centre is closed for the third time ever,the first 2 being the IRA bombing and the visit by Rangers
    Perhaps instead of making light of it,Rangers fans should be thoroughly ashamed

    No, not really read the whole thread as it seemed a wind up - just saw on the news they have arrested 15 just as I started reading this thread which states 2000 people were involved!!

    I wasn't saying there was none, I was saying that your post was inaccurate in what it was asserting...

    1: There were not 2000 youths rioting, it was closer to half of that amount at the peak of the night.

    There were however up to 2000 people gathered at Picadilly Gardens early on in the evening, most of whom were just there as bystanders to see what went on.

    2: Selfridges is a pretty significant four storey landmark in Manchester, similar to that in Birmingham except the building isn't quite as iconic...if you start saying that it is burning down it is a major ****ing incident, Miss Selfridge on Market st however is pretty much of no consequence in comparison as it is a small retail outlet and was dealt with quickly and effectively.

    That is/ was my point, I think you bore the brunt of my frustration as we had family and all sorts etc ringing/ texting/ emailing making sure we weren't on fire/ getting robbed/ being raped/ dead etc due to ****e being published on the likes of the Mirror and Metro...
