Sensible really if he might disappear at any moment. He's refused what Saints have offered so obviously hopes to get whatever it is he wants elsewhere. That's his right, and I'm sure he was aware he wouldn't be playing hence his giving away his shirt on his last home match.
Not much different really as Reed has said he will only sell if the offer is right for Saints. So if they don't get an offer, they have a player with 18 months of his contract left, so what will they do with him? Perhaps... same as what happened with Wanyama & Morgan?
I generally hate artficial things that try and enhance the atmosphere such as flags/clappers etc. But I thought the flags worked really well for Inter, seemed to take it up a notch. Didn't quite have the same effect for Be'er Sheva though so hope they're not there on Weds. Worked well as a one off thing but shouldn't be a regular imo. As for your previous post, the bad influence you mention, are you referring to Black? Seems to be a few whispers regarding him at the moment.
Les Reed says that Fonte has been professional, but (unless desperate) I can see why Puel would rather stick with players who are staying. It would be weird for players and fans to have someone on his way out...that is why people in other businesses are put on gardening leave. Too confusing for everyone....and a distraction the team could do without. Whilst I don't think Jose would do anything deliberately wrong, would he risk life and limb for Saints with a move in the offing. Hardly want to risk a leg break, would he?

I would if I could trust all the Saints fans not to boo him. Unfortunately there would be a number of idiots who would do that. So right not to play him IMO.
