Not sure if it means anything, but there's just been a new filing at Companies House... 09 Jan 2017 Memorandum and Articles of Association This document is being processed and will be available in 5 days. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/04032392/filing-history
I was in Vanessa's last week, you do get some nice stuff in there. What does my nut in though is that there is hardly any tea selection anywhere. Everywhere you go they essentially do breakfast tea, earl grey and some non-descript fruit/ green tea. In my cupboard at home i've got breakfast, assam, earl grey, vanilla, chocolate, darjeeling, cherry, almond and probably loads of others i've forgotten about at the back. It doesn't really go off, it's about 2 quid a box, why not have more tea selections? WHY NOT MORE TEA I SAY!?!
There was a place just on North Bar Within that's a tearoom, they had more of a selection there. But it closed down in December as the owner went bankrupt. It was quite popular too, so maybe you should open a tearoom there Walter?
Liquid Jade, behind Boots on Whitefriargate has a fantastic selection of teas & coffee - for an Independent outlet it's reasonably priced too.
They did, that bit isn't news, though the newly filed Memorandum and Articles of Association could be (but probably isn't).
Honestly if I had the money to do what I want I would spend my life travelling the UK and having afternoon tea everywhere giving them ratings etc. I live in Leeds now for work and you can't find a decent tea room anywhere. Everything's just carbon copy coffee shops and Pret-A-****ers.
The old style memorandum and articles sets out the amount of share capital. If the number of shares left to issue is less than the amount demanded under the fair play rules then the club has to alter the memorandum and articles by increasing the amount of share capital. From the comments on the Companies House site I think this is what they've done.
Well I can't find the chippy thread. Right sorry lads I'll stop derailing this with tea related talk. Allam out!
This relates to the shareholder meeting in November when the share capital was increased to £6m, the MAA section 5 needed to be adjusted.
M&A are fairly loosely worded so I doubt there is anything they are up to now needs to have them amended. Probably all related to the 23 November business.
Jade probably has more tea than chairs. Tried to visit twice but both times no room. Lots of singletons taking up full tables .
Is there a sweeps stake on who gets the 1,000,000th post on this forum yet? It's getting mighty close with all these tea posts....
So here I am checking if there is any movement re new owners and I have to sift through pages debating the merits of tea and coffee.. ffs .. what next a discussion on which denier tights you should be wearing
