Norwich fan in peace! I hope all the newly promoted sides do well, so I'm really interested in what people think of their transfer window activity. Who do you think should be nominated for the three categories in the title of this thread and why?

I'm impressed with Norwich's overall transfer dealings, but here are my nominations...
Best signing- Danny Graham (scored over 20 goals for a pretty average team)
Worst Signing- Kieron Dyer (over 30, not played regular football for years, ex-ipswich)
Old-boy- Scott Sinclair (looked top quality in the championship)

Danny Graham scored 20 goals in the championship but DJ Campbell scored 13 in the premiership last season. I highly rate Graham but I think DJ for 1.25mil is a bargain. That's my opinion

I think you'll find Dyer has 33 England caps whilst Graham is totally untried at Prem level, let alone International level!!
Dyer has looked sharp AND FIT during pre-season and could be the buy of the year!

Totally agree rangercol, we have seen in preseason that he still has lots to give, Let's not forget that we were after Graham, and I rate Campbell higher than Lita, but Lita is a good player

Best signing: Bothroyd... Exactly what we have been missing.
Worst signing: Lita.... Complete arse or a man + wildly overrated.
Old boy: Sinclair... Would love to see him (back) at Qpr.

Yep. It's a gamble, but IF he stays fit, there's no way he'll turn out to be the "worst buy""!

53 goals and 25 assists in 2 seasons.

Not bad for a fat lad.<ok>

What's Dyer's record in the last 2 seasons, 53 minutes and 25 passes?

Dyers past it! Wouldn't be surprised if he gets injured in the first game of the season and doesn't play again for the rest of the season!

Who cares how many caps Holt has got (or not!) - it's what he does for Norwich I care about.

I agree, however if that's what your saying, then why are you lot bringing up Dyers injuries, it's what he does for QPR that only matters :)

    Absolutely Goalie.

If he stays injury free (and he DOES have a history), he could be an excellent signing.

Best signing plan in general .... Swansea !! . Graham is as good as any signing . Absence of lots of "big "signings pleases me to no end with the Swans . Team play got us to the Championship , team play got us to the Premier & team play will keep us there . The Swans are perfectly in line to show most clubs of the modern era , how they must run . How many times have most of you seen promoted clubs spend big & go backwards while leaving " The Team " that got them there behind . Stay up or get relegated , were as sound as sound can be .

Swansea and Norwich are the same in that respect. Teams of hard working proffesionals sprinkled with the odd gem of a player. I can't talk for Swansea but if Norwich go down then i'd imagine we'd keep most of the team and they'd probaly all be happy to really fight to get us back out of the Championship.

If QPR go down how good is Dyer going to be? He might prove me wrong but I have to say I think thats a discussing signing.
