If he withdraws his transfer request and promises to be a good boy until the Summer we could play him, he might fancy an appearance at Wembley, especially if no one has shown that they actually want him?
I'd like to keep him till end of season anyway. But him lifting a pot at Wembley would be a great way to bow out, and also a cracking way of ending the League 1 era... I'm allowing myself to dream
I'd be pretty amazed if he's doesn't start, transfer request or not. This is a cup SF, he's our captain, and he's a professional. And besides, Yoshida has made too many errors in the last two or three matches for him to be starting.
Espescially as apparently this request was handed in a while back, so has been playing since anyway. Plus regardless of other business, I think he will be well up for this. I'd play him
It will be strange for fans to know Fonte wants to leave....I understand he didn't want it made public probably for that very reason. I just assume he has something lined up...daft to distance himself from club and fans without that.
A cup tie is to be enjoyed and imo not season defining. Each match until we are safe in the PL is more defining. If Saints manage to get to Wembley that will be great but I shall not go, even if Wembley was next door as tickets will be very expensive along with the food and drink. In addition the money spent on rebuilding Wembley would have been better spent elsewhere such as funding training courses for would be football coaches. I'd rather spend the money on a long weekend away like Newcastle when Saints play them again in the PL next sesason.
If he does play i just hope the fans dont get on his back. He will still pull on the shirt and give his all for the club
I think Liverpool were sending a very clear message, to Fonte today. At halftime they played his song over the tannoy.
Don't worry guys, I had a dream we won 10-5 last night! .... We probably went on to lose 6-0 at Anfield but I woke up
According to the Star. Liverpool making major changes to team that will play us. Before you all get excited, they continue 'compared to team that drew in the FA Cup'. That isn't making changes....that is reverting to usual team.
Really worth checking this business. Not sure what is going on, but when I bought mine my receipt said it was uploaded but then I got one through the post. Chaos may ensue!!
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...sses_to_rectify_ahead_of_crunch_week/?ref=mac Yoshida talks about the need to concentrate until the end of the game as it cost us against Norwich. That's an idea, Maya.
Yoshi took a fair bit of blame for that goal, but for me it was others abandoning their posts. He was trying to cover players, but the space left was just incredible. It was like we were chasing the bloody game!
