Really interesting stat on Goals on Sunday... 14 of 23 teams in bottom 6 who changed their manager have stayed up...!! 61%
No. I just can't see it and as has been said the fixtures will mean very little points between now and February. I've not seen our rivals fixtures but they can't be as bad as this. The damage has been done, just enjoy what we can between now and May.
Sunland drew with Liverpool. Let's not be so negative. We have an exciting new manager in who appears t know already what he wants from the players. Two players in to replace Mbokani and Elmo and we'll be motoring.
If being negative and being realistic are the same thing then so be it. We've dropped points against some **** teams and that's what will cost us. If the lads give everything between now and the end of the season, I don't care if we go down.
The key thing for me is that we've played most of those teams down there with us away first half of the season. We've got them all to come here in the second half. Oh, and we might want to win a game in May this time - we haven't done that in the previous four years in the PL.
No. Heartbreak ahead with a lot of if only's. The main one being "if only that pair of ****s had sold us to someone else, anyone else, we might have had a chance"
We don't have a chance of staying up....The Allan's will only allow cheap, short term , older players with no proven history to come in. I really hope I'm wrong ........
It's going to be tough but it can be done. I do think it will require a Leicester style revival given the next half a dozen games but football is full of surprises. Worse case scenario, we go down with a fight which should give hope for a new season.
Sunderland H, Palace A and final game Tottenham H. Believe we can win one of these to finally break our winless May PL run.
If support given to Silva in the transfer market then possibly .. unfortunately I can't see a great deal of support coming from the two ****wits .. so sadly no
If the seasons starts now then we aren't any better off. If we couldn't get more than 13 points when the season actually started, it will be tricky to pick up pace now. It's not impossible, but it's going to take a monumental effort to overcome the damage done.
On paper the next 4 league games look mega tough, but if Silva & his assistants can organise the team better and we get a decent rightback (preferably this week) we may get a win or two. Bournemouth are a good team, but I don't see us rolling over against them like the away match. Also looking at Arsenal in recent games, they are conceding and leaving it late to score. If we managed 4 points from the next four that would be a great start to our survival hopes. If not, as long as we improve, picking off wins and good draws we'll have a good chance. Keep the faith.
Too early to tell, but Santa seems to have brought City a great present in Silva and his team, and right now I think that gives us the best chance we could have hoped for. Also: All the talk of us needing a miracle is way off the mark. City are only 3 points behind 17th place Palace and all the teams at the bottom face equally tough games to us. It all comes down to who is willing to scrap hardest and right now I'm pretty optimistic about that.
Agreed .. only downside to that is the transfer dealings if there are to be any are handled by Ehaw.. if Silva gets what he needs with 3 or 4 decent additions I have ever faith him and his team will see this through but alas we're relying on an egotistical idiot to make those happen
I'm not being funny but after Leicester and Swansea Mike Phelan was the new messiah on here then a couple of games later he was just a very naughty boy......
You can't blame us when he was named Manager of the Month.. clearly we weren't the only ones who thought he did well.
