I attended today and do not see it as selfish. I don't like what the Allams are doing to the club and have done my bit in the past, bought the alternative scarf, held up cards etc BUT I just could not bring myself to turn my back on the team today. I wanted to be there to cheer them on (I was not alone in that). As shown the ground was nearly empty and the media were mentioning it but what now? The Allams are not going to withdraw their membership scheme, they are not going to stop the ridiculous boycott of our name and are going to continue disregarding whatever the supporters want or what the media says. I refuse to let them drive me away from supporting Hull City but the sad fact is until they sell up there is absolutely nothing anyone can do to change anything.
Bizarre. Firstly Marshall, as has been pointed out previously on here, is nowhere near the quality keeper he was in his heyday with Cardiff. In his last year there he was a shadow of his former best. Hence the willingness of a now Championship relegation battler to let him go for a third of the price they were valuing him at 2-3 years ago. Some keepers improve in their 30s...Marshall has gone in the opposite direction. Slow footed, slow reaction time, doesnt even move to several shots into the corners (watch the match replays on Tiger Player for evidence). Headers directed straight at him go in over his head. Seldom challenges for crosses/corners that are clear keepers balls. CHs are being blamed for poor coverage when they were his to take. He has no confidence...defense clearly plays better when Jak is behind them shouting for the ball. The facts do not lie. Marshalls GA average heading towards 3....Jaks close to 1. Jaks far superior agility/anticipation is shown in his penalty save record. As for "doing virtually nothing wrong". Does that include not even diving for shots that an agile GK such as Jak would easily save...or closing his eyes when challenging for 50/50 crosses... Today and against Newcastle we saw the difference a confident GK can make even when the team in front of him is short-handed and under pressure. Go back and watch the replays of Marshalls performance since the Bournemouth game on Tiger Player. Its not a pretty picture.
When all the subs werecon it was very hard to see what formation was as Maloney was all over, centre forward at one point, but confused the hell out of Swansea and helped create first goal. We seemed to move to 433 at one point, then 451, then 4 1 3 2, but worked out ok.
I've supported Hull City all my life, I'm a member of the trust, I also was in attendance against Torquay in the lowest league attendance, where there was another boycott. I for one do not want the Allams in charge of my club because they are slowly destroying it, however I choose to go to the game, this does not make me a selfish bastard or should not be frowned upon. I'm simply a supporter of Hull City football club and will be all my life and I will go to each game I can physically make.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04lwph9#play go to 49:40 for masons mason basically says silvas way of playing today was more his type of play that he's been used to the last few years and he said when i play MY position that i came here to play, then i play well and it hasn't happened as much as id liked until today
Brilliant to see a local lad score his first goal , when he is sold to Real Madrid for 80 million it will be good to remember , especially in the comfort of being able to stretch out across2 seats
The thing is! The Allams will think the fans that went today support them! Sometimes you need to put a point across! I won't call any city fan but you have to look at the big picture!
I'll tell you the Allams haven't listened to the fans since they came, and I'm not against any boycott to out them.
That's a very interesting interview. Especially at the end mentioning been on the training ground for 4 hours when Silva did the same thing with video for 30 mins!
QUOTE="petersaxton, post: 10091078, member: 1005264"]Can't the "wing backs" be extra defenders?[/QUOTE] Don't worry about it, they're both the same posotion, allegedly. Jake and a CB (one will be there) and Thudd as a sweeper brings your WBs into play.
bloody hell, jakupovic ran the full length of the field to join that celebration great 2nd goal and what a finish by tymon, and hernandez looks proper up for it oooo
