Not a lot to be up beat about though. Defence now leaking goals and no strikers. Not looking brilliant.Squad needs a lift with a signing or two.
Absolutely neutral about this - neither upset or overjoyed. A fairly poor result considering but it wasn't a defeat. Our attacking players scored....no goals, again.
Why am I not surprised... no meltdown - just resigned to the fact that we are so poor at present and I am unsure who is going to solve this malaise...
Long's effort in the first half aside, and a Tadic FK, I can't even remember any chances for the attackers...again. Thankfully it's "only" the FA Cup. I can't find myself having any inclination to particularly care, sadly.
This view is such a shame. Not having a go at you personally mate more of a general point, but it's sad how little value this competition has to supporters now.
Five academy players started today and some other players ot plenty of game time. Puel got the right blend and it was a real pity about the defensive error at the end.
You are absolutely correct but this maliase with the FA Cup started with the big boys not even bothering to put out full teams a few years back - look at the League Cup that's even worse. The FA Cup used to be really something to look forward to a few years ago now the Champions League, top five finish in the Premier League and how much money your club is worth/can spend that is more important to football in general.
I actually agree. Although my view is more based on our recent form, than just that it's the FA Cup. When our recent league form is what it is, I'm using that fact that today is the FA Cup as a reason to not continue pulling my hair out in despair. It's not healthy. Whereas had we been flying in the league (or been much deeper into the competition, a la the Liverpool game on Wednesday), I'd have been a lot angrier about today. The only element of disappointment which I do have coming through, is that I'm now still without any confidence going into Wednesday. Our biggest game since the 2007 play-off SF second leg?
Yep that's me. I'm not down, not up. Just...meh. Oh and I still haven't eaten since my 600 calories yesterday at 7pm. The problem with a fast day is everywhere you look is food. Food, glorious food. I'm sure there is a song in that. The bright side for me is that tonight is not a fast day and i have a Lamb Shank in the slow cooker. My own recipe and it smells amazing. having it on a nice bet of homemade Stilton & Rosemary mash However, as I said, i feel just...Meh. No meltdown, no meltup.
Ticket prices will be interesting... will definitely attend though. Well as long as the tickets aren't priced like today. Hopefully a tenner, otherwise I see 6/7k crowd for this one.
I'm just disappointed we are going into Wednesday, our biggest game of the season with an attack that can't score and a defence that can't defend. Confidence is shot to bits, fans will be on their backs as soon as the game starts.
Yeah agree, it also started when United decided not to compete one year. It has been going on a while but it is a shame though.
