Steve Bruce was taking calls from fans on radio Newcastle tonight. Missed some of it but here is a summary of what I heard:

    1. Admitted an interest in Bellamy and Krankjer (can't spell it but you know who I mean)

    2. Richardson and Bardsley competition for LB

    3. Admitted need pace in the side and were trying to address that (see point 1)

    4. Short and Quinn never interfeared in team affairs

    5. Admitted some of the team bottled it in last seasons derby games but could not see that happening again with new signings paticularly Brown and OShea

    6. Someone asked if the team and manager could applaud away fans at end of game. Will consider it.

    7. Mentioned again that he did not want to sell Bent and would love to still have him as a Sunderland player but Bent wanted to go and felt it was pointless keeping a player who no longer wanted to play for the club.

    8. If he was to put money on it he would bet that Louis Laing would make it as a premiership player. Said he had it all.

    9. Was still monitoring Wellbeck and Onhua as potential loans signings. Was not ruling out any other loans signings if he thought they would help improve team

Thats all I can remember - maybe someone else who listened to it can fill in the blanks

Sounds good, if we get Bellamy or Krancjar (sp) I would count this as a very successful transfer window.

That's very ****ing gracious of them, but I wouldn't want them to go to any trouble on our account.

I think maybe the way I wrote that makes it sound worse than it is. He was saying that places like Goodison it was not practical for the manager to walk across to the fans and that he thought most of the players did this anyway.

I go to all away games and the majority of players if not all of them always come over to applaud the fans

kranjcar would be a briliant signing, him on the left wing would be that final piece of the jigsaw, Bellamy would be a bonus aswell.

If we bring in one of them great if we bring them both in superb transfer window for us just need to shift on 3 or 4players

This is a point I like, our midfield is lacking pace after Sess being moved up top.

Good to see Bruce sees what we all see but I do understand it is hard to find the right player we need and it would be great to get Onouha back just for some extra cover but also because he was very good last year, Welbeck would be an absolute bonus if that came off.
