Please tell me you are recalling this correctly.

My mate called......um......D-C has a similar problem to old treverino but got his Real passport after his offence.

 

Had it not been for his recent passing, Ponders would have undoubtedly answered the question in his usual comprehensive fashion.

Ponders travelled the world despite having numerous convictions (including three stints in the clink) under his belt.

You just take a declaration form from the dispenser on the wall, fill it out and hand it over to the customs dude with your passport. All I got asked was "what is the purpose of your visit?" and "how long will you be staying in the US?" If you can resist the urge to say "terrorism" and "as long as it takes to undermine your decadent culture" you should be golden.

DO NOT ring the embassy, ffs. Simply fill the form in and declare you are as good as gold and have no convictions. Simply smile and walk on through.

They aren't going to go all CSI on you. I very much doubt their systems would flag up you have a possession charge over here. They'd need to go in-depth for that, and they'd need to have a reason to do that.

 

One of my friends has just landed in Fort Lauderdale and I think he got knocked back. Wel he texted and said "**** all these ****s!!!!" so I'm guessing he's ****ed out.

The arrows on your passport will face to the right if you have a serious criminal conviction.
If the passport was before the incident then it will indicate that you are not a petty drug fiend ergo arrows to the left.
The US is part or interpol so they share data but unless you act the **** you should stroll through.
FFS don't cross the yellow line at passport control before being told they do not like that.

Anything from a caution upwards you are supposed to declare. Drugs is the one they are the most harsh with.

If you declared you had a caution for possession of cannabis you would need to go their embassy in London and plead your case to be allowed in. I certainly wouldn't take it as guaranteed that they will let you in, even with just that on your record.
