The boycott is also mentioned in the Guardian ten matches to watch this weekend review. Fair play, the objective of getting the message out there about the owners has got some traction.
Yet more rubbish, it'd be met with people saying the trust has bottled it or they are not trying to challenge the issues which fans view as important. If the club appointing a new manager makes people forget about boycotting then they were obviously not going for the wrong reasons.
All Im seeing is the Trust will never back down or go back on what they say. Despite stating support the team, not the regime which is an ironic contradiction. Who accuse the Allams of never backing down and of running the club into the ground, yet have just appointed a can't have been very cheap new head coach and full staff, as well as paying off the old ones and by making some signings which also cost. As Ive said, this game was picked imo because it would have been easy to tout as a success in a boycott due to the fact it was likely to have a low attendance anyhow. A better option would be to fill the ground with people who want the Allams out, with Tshirts on, banners aloft, all singing/chanting their feelings. Fact is, the Trust doesn't enjoy the support it thinks it should do. Certain directors and members are sniffy, condescending arseholes towards other fans. Their actions quite often mirror the attitude of the owners they purport to want rid of. As I've said before, the Allams are not to blame for any factions or divisions in the fan base. The fans are, because, surprise, we're not all the ****ing same. I still think a sale is imminent, and its greatly amusing to me that our usual know-it-alls know **** all about it.
Oh... I think you should try a second G&T? You're spot on about fans being different, and that's a good thing. Obviously everyone will express their opinion on here...it's what it's for, but there's no need for anyone to get over excited / upset about other people having a different opinion to them (IMHO)* *admittedly because I know that I'm right it is easy for me to say
Good point My first press conference went ok though (some people on here seemed surprised about how handsome I am...which is weird in so many ways) I'm going to scribble a bit of a formation down later on, and I'm definitely looking for us to score more goals than them so read into that what you will...
@Happy Tiger "I still think a sale is imminent, and its greatly amusing to me that our usual know-it-alls know **** all about it." Which is ironic as I don't suppose YOU know anything either?
