If we got a ridiculous offer like the £37.5m for Ighalo I'd pack his bags myself!

More and more rumours about Sakho coming here.

Well we usually bring good CB's. If you exclude Forren, Caulker and, to an extent Gardos (solely because he got injured)

 

Tadic is probably a load of rubbish haha. As for the other two...

Fonte isn't even a definite. Yes, he wants out and yes, we would be willing to sell if we get a decent offer, but I really can't see who would pay for him at his age.

VVD may stay another year considering the length of his contract. Usually we tend to say "give us one more year and you can then leave with our blessing" (i.e Mane, Wanyama and Schneiderlin)

 

I took the Tadic statement to mean he was staying here, and his agent (or whoever) considers us in that top 5?

 

According to Wiki the lad earns £100k pw....way too much for us thankfully

 

Or he would go if a top 5 club bid for him, if one of those was going to take a punt of him I think they would have already - he was on better form when he was playing with Pelle and Mane.

 

I'd be very very surprised if we signed Sakho. Doesn't really fit with the type of player we tend to go for, wages is one of those reasons.

 

Sakho would be a brilliant signing, people write him off because he looks clumsy on the ball, but defensively he is very good. I'm sure we all have non Saints supporting mates who said Wanyama was **** because they watched him on MOTD and saw some of his questionable technical ability

 

We seem to have a decent record on saving refuges from the super clubs i.e. Ryan Bertrand and Romeu

 

Perhaps he meant top 15?

 

I bought a paper one day after last season finished, and it had us in 5th. I'm sticking to that......

 

I love Dusan, but he's not a top 5 club player. Nearly, but not quite. More chance that Boufal will become one.

 

Perhaps if he had a bit more pace to him then he would be. Not that you have to be quick, but his technical ability just isn't up there with the likes of Silva and Eriksen. Compared with Mane I'd say Tadic is superior in everyway apart from his physical attributes and maybe finishing, does make a hell of a difference.

 

If he played football in winter he'd be close. But as the weather grows cold, he sadly goes missing.

Oh I think Tadic's technical ability is right up there with those players you named. The difference is that they use hat ability and are better at it "in game mode." Dusan tends to dwell a little.

 

It's not really comparable with Romeu or Bertrand imo. They joined because they were never playing at Chelsea. Sakho was first choice at Liverpool until he failed a drug test (which got overturned), then he fell out with Klopp on their pre season tour about breaking curfew iirc and hasn't played this season because of it. Think a loan move would suit all parties. Gives us a stop gap til the summer and puts Sakho in the shop window for himself and Liverpool for leaving in the summer

 

A CLOB source tells me Robby Brady won't be playing against us for Norwich because of his imminent move to Saints in the January window. His BFF Shane said he needs a good craic with an Irishman to increase his confidence in front of goal (oh and he'll be cheap so as not to upset any possible investors adds Shane)
