When we were linked to Lookman six months ago a price of £8m was being quoted, so where did the rest suddenly appear from?
Just looking through the ACON stuff on the Beeb. There are some pretty big names leaving our rivals. For the first season in a while, none of our players are going. Thank goodness Kenya didn't qualify. Mane, Mahrez, Slimani, Gueye, Bailly and Boufal are all travelling. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38500696
It actually looks to me like it's mainly the relegation threatened teams that are affected. Not great from their point of view.
Technically we have a couple of players at the Bloody Inconvenience: Bentaleb and N'Jie It just inconveniences somebody else for them to be there...
Not so much of late. There'd probably have to be a bond between the player and the prospective new boss. You'd need to trust that kicking off at your existing club wouldn't put off the potential purchaser. You'd need something really close - almost like speaking the same language. The boss would need to have a history of purchasing players that have been tapped up and encouraged to leave their existing employers. I'm not seeing Ian 'Badger' Holloway. On other transfer news Sky Sports say..... BREAKING NEWS West Ham have given up on signing Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe, according to Sky sources. If they'd cut that shorter it would have made perfect sense BREAKING NEWS West Ham have given up.
Is it just me, or would anyone else be completely gutted if JD did join the Spammers? No issue with him - just the thought of him being tarnished by the re-association with the fraudulent porn-merchants at the end of his career....... Here's hoping that Sunderland stay strong or at least let him go anywhere else. I would be less upset if he ended up at the Library!!
The head of the Chinese sporting body has announced plans to cap club spending as well as measures to examine club finances in the wake of the exorbitant fees flying around such as £40m for Tevez or £60m for Oscar. I'm still waiting for Sports Minister Tracey Crouch to consider similar measures in the wake of the equally exorbitant fees flying around such as £47m for John Stones...
I see Jon Obi Mikel is going now. I hope Chelsea don't get a Luiz type bonanza for such an ordinary player.
The latest player that the spammers have had a bid rejected for is Robert Snodgrass. Their bid was a mere £3m! It's embarrassing how they go about their business and how little they actually offer for the players they are supposedly so desperate to sign.
It's like they're trying to piss their fans off or something. I don't get it. They must know that these bids are derisory, so why bother making them? Their whole transfer strategy looks like a complete mess, to me.
I saw a screenshot on twitter yesterday (taken from the club's website), which mentioned others club names that had rejected West Ham's offers. Seriously? - not just stories in the media, but written statements too!
It just occurred to me who could have been the most appropriate person to own the Spammers: a fraud, bully, sexist, delusional disgrace - Trump! You can just see it
Even he'd know that offering £3m for Robert Snodgrass is just a tiny bit dim. Just a bit. Even him. Trump.
He wouldn't even make a bid, just endlessly tweet about it and being all bluster when someone calls him on it.
