No, just because all the big teams apart from Arsen and Man City finished outside the top 4, someone still had to win it. Why did another medium sized club like Everton, West Ham or Spurs seize the moment? They weren't good enough and we were. Simple even for your limited mind. Must have hurt that I backed your sock account into a corner there btw. I knew you'd log off and onto the HAIG account to post something like what you did. Very predictable
Backed me into a corner did you Muhammad Ali? I've expressed my admiration for Leicester fc's extraordinary achievement on this site and I find it particularly resonant as they are a similarly sized club as Saints. Judging by your posts you don't have the intelligence to back your missus' chiuaua into a corner with a rolled up newspaper, mate
Ok HAIG. I have a lot of time for Southampton, cracking club and the one I have the most time for after Leicester in the premier league. For the reasons you say as well that both clubs have similarities. I'm just not convinced you are a genuine saints fan and you know I'm not the only one.
Yeah, I can barely get a wink of sleep because of it, mate Feel the same about Leicester. I can remember the last game of the 08 season where it was between the two of us as to who went down to league 1. Saints beat Sheffield utd thanks to, of all players,Stern John and I was sad to see Leicester go down, good fans at that club who love their footy. Always seen saints as similar to yourselves, Norwich and Swansea
Thanks for the memories! Nigel Pearson kept Saints up them joined Leicester. I believe Saint then went down the following season but both teams bounced back. I think both are on another level to Norwich who can't seem to stay up more than a season
That's because he's a massive Cnut! He's replaced trophy winning with third rate wummery as that's what happens to small clubs that win a league cup every decade or so.
Pearson was never actually saints permanent manager mate. He was inexplicably snubbed after avoiding relegation in favour of an untried and unknown dutchman called Jan poortvelt, whose only achievement of note was that he was in the Dutch team that lost the 78 WC to Argentina. That's how badly saints were being run at the time. I was very impressed with Pearson and there was uproar when he wasn't offered the job permanently, he went to Leicester and romped league 1 with 100 + points IIRC. I liked him when he was at saints but I never realised he was such a nutter!
Chelsea may have to work hard to land in 2nd the way things are starting to look . Could be a real rat race for the top 2 spots frankly
Did anyone think Londons elite club would crumble after 1 bad result?... My London 1 2 3 prediction looks more likely every week.
