Back to Lookman, big money for a league one player. Big gamble, I hope he can become the player the club risked £7-11M(d pending on reporter) on.
Why "for a league 1 player" Ok he could be jonjo shelvey or he could be a delle alli... or just a jerone sinclair. Ive no idea but the lad is just a player not a player defined by his clubs position. When in age could you call a player league 1?
I'll be pleased if he turns out like Delle Alli lol Fair point though I hope he realises the potential Walsh sees...
Why would Usmanov chuck Everton a load of cash for naming rights of our training ground? Oh yeah.......and so it begins....... Judging from the comments section of the Echo for any story linked to our stadium move, we won't need a sprinkler system installed for the pitch, we can just use the salty tears of the thousands of Kopites who are cry arseing about it
Because Usmanov and Moshiri are positioning Everton to be Arsenal's feeder and reject buyer rather than Man Utd's The money he paid is also next to nothing and likely a tax scam
Get on the Echo comments page lad, you'd fit right in Why would a Billionaire chuck millions at his mate's football club for sponsorship of the training ground? Who's ever spent anything promoting a holding company?
The holding company gets your global media rights for £4m a year which probably comes out to nothing after tax write offs Your amazing new training ground and shirt sponsorship deal will pull in £15m a year It's actually a step down from the deals you were previously being linked with looks like Moshiri has given his mate a discount Our kit sponsorship is £50m a year. Too much perspective?
thats what you are playing your technical director and scouts to minimise. At the level invested he really ought not to be a gamble. Ox chamberlain, walcott, were same money but in an era wher eis was total top dollar. Maybe the going rate is 7mil will adds ons now.. but get a delle alli and you are golden.
In fairness to everton i think they'd be better off picking the scraps from arsneal's table rather than the trash they got recently from utd. If they get morgan however thats a big improvement for the team. but then their new technical director should be unearthing far better players going forward.
Global media rights? Nope. Our current shirt deal is £5.3m a year, your deal with Standard Chartered is £30m a year plums, not £50m Our new deal for shirt and training ground sponsorship triples our current one at £15m, and just happens to be with a Russian Billionaire. Your bitterness is growing worse by the day.
Sure, it ought not to be a gamble, but it is by definition, as he's never played above League 1 (England aside) It could pay off massively, or he might not make it, there's always that chance when buying a player of that age and from that level of domestic football.
True, it is all about his attitude bu t you would hope thats all in the thinking of your technical director. In theory you should not be able to lose money on it as an english player.
I trust Walsh, and our recent buys from lower league have either made it or are on the way to - Stones, Holgate, Calvert Lewin.
Not necessarily disagreeing but the only one to have made it is Stones and he was from a few years back. Holgate has looked good but only made around 5 appearances. Koeman doesn't seem to trust him unless it's a back 3 which if he is as good as he is its criminal as Jags is well past it and Mori is a liability. Calvert Lewin has had even less time and doesn't look anything special at all. So i'm going to have to discount them two.
£30m is just the shirts, the additional merch takes it to £50m Before Moshiri did his mate a favour you were being linked with a £22m/year deal (just for shirts)
We not talking about merchandise or shirt sales, merely shirt sponsorship and that's £30m, not £50m The deal with the betting company was over 3 years for £22m, so this deal doubles it. Dry those bitter salty tears kopite
