The Europa was more unique than a League Cup game. I'm not suggesting that we don't play our best team in the League Cup, but I question the value of resting fit healthy players for the FA Cup as if it will magically make them so much better v Liverpool. Should go for a win every game. As for last season, I meant that we looked like we had a chance in every game against anyone....don't think anyone has that feeling this season.

Unique? Crikey, I must have missed all those semi finals we've been in 2nd of my lifetime by my counting! And no there's no guarantees but at the same time that doesn't mean a team of fringe/youth would lose. Like I mentioned earlier I can see that sort of team playing with more freedom and with our struggles at the moment may even see a chance to nab a first team spot? It won't magically make them better but I don't think it's too out there to suggest that freshness could be key against a Liverpool side who will dominate possession and press us all over the pitch. Well it was just me suggesting he may not know the best 11, he hasn't actually confirmed this. For all we know he could well have a clear idea of his strongest 11 but has been unable to play them regularly due to a cup run and the europa league.
