Read Anderson's words more closely, the big number is the general investment in the area, the little number is the money for the proposed dock site if Everton can sort their **** out by April That's April 2017. So much for the deal being announced "within a few weeks". When did you say that again, back in August?
I have no control over what they choose to announce and when. What I'd suggest you do though, is to get over the fact that we'll be building a new stadium on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey mate
How can I get over it when the keep pushing back the announcement of the plan for the proposal of an idea of a decision to make an announcement... Elstone: "Significant' hurdles remain" they've done **** all Tobes don't get your hopes up yet #spadeintheground
Planning documents for a development of that scale and complexity take an age, no doubt heaps of bitter reds will then object, as if the Echo is a barometer then it seems the idea has gone down like a lead balloon amongst many kopites (you included) They're also working with Peel who are notoriously hard work, so the comment that there's significant hurdles is factual. However, the will of the owner, the club, the council and Peel is ultimately to make it happen.
Nope the will is for someone else to make it happen. Peel wants Everton to write them a cheque, Everton wants the council to write them a cheque, the council wants the commonwealth games to write them a cheque...
That's bollocks. The council can't fund our stadium in any way, shape or form, it's called the law. They can only assist with the infrastructure, as they did at Castle Greyskull. The commonwealth games of 2026 is a pipe dream for Anderson and way too far down the track for EFC.
Hence the lack of any progress to announce Everton's Plan Bs are the Slime Pit (Croxteth) and the Fright Zone (Kirkby)
You do know that Castle Greyskull is where Prince Adam/He Man lives? Think you meant Snake Mountain Tobes.
I don't think you still live in Liverpool do you mate? If you did you'd know that improvements in road/rail infrastructure in the Docks area has been in planning since 2014. The opening of the new Seaforth terminal and regeneration of the immediate area i.e. The Ten Streets 'Creative Quarter' together with the Knowledge Quarter is one of five Mayoral Development Zones in Liverpool, established as part of its City Deal regional devolution agreement with central government. Obviously a new stadium will need further developments re. roads but what Anderson's talking about here has been in the pipeline for a while. Personally I think he's trying to haul himself on the bandwagon to get his plaudits for when the stadium is actually announced as if he made it happen. He talks in the same speech about Moshiri being impressed with the plans for the Tobacco Warehouse that he btw tried to knock down a very short while ago because he had no idea of it's significant value not only to this city but in world architecture.
If Joe is serious about EFC's move and the new merseyrail station this plan is totally daft, not all visitors to EFC's new home on the docks would approach it from the northside but as well as halving the amount of lanes on the strand he's now planning on extending Leeds Street to cater for a new cruise liner terminal, there'll be chaos and gridlock if the new road as expected gets the go-ahead. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/new-liverpool-road-link-future-12404178
but imagine being able to see tourists on cruise ships freeze their arses off wondering where the **** the sun is
Not since I moved away to University many years ago.... And to be honest I take as much notice of my adopted home town as I do about back home.
You've fully recovered from your 2-2 draw away to relegation fodder now have you and decided to turn up.... If you hide every time you have a **** result because you dont like a bit back perhaps it would be a good idea to give up the wumming you clueless weasel.. Proper sign of a toss pot that lol
Hold on, Klopp couldn't beat Middlesbrough? I bet he never mentioned The congested Xmas fixture list when they were winning. #excuseinearly
