Hull having a Labour MP doesn't matter a jot to local decision making, and for 7 of the last 12 years Labour haven't been in control of Hull City Council.

You're a UKIP supporting right winger, why deny it?

Fat arse is a Daily Mail swallowing raving right wing Tory, those are the facts.

It was the local politics I was largely referring to, and my voting preference and politics are just a couple of your repeated assertions that you've got wrong.

If you think the lib dems 'controlled' local politics, you've clearly no idea of the reality of how these things work.

Enlighten me as to how Labour not being in control of the council for 7 years out of 12 still meant they were responsible for the policy and decision making in that area during that period?

    In your own time....

He was replying to your post that insulted him without saying anything relating to the topic.

Go have a lie down your brain cell has overheated.

What was insulting? They were facts.

He can't see around 95% of the thread as he's got most who disagree with him on ignore.

And, he's so fat, he probably can't see his penis without a mirror. Or possibly even a magnifying glass and a pair of tweezers.

Everything is in my own time. I don't need your permission. <doh>

It's only about four years that the lib dems held the majority, but they still had to get their decisions through.

No doubt, your belief that you know better than others, despite the evidence to the contrary, will mean you'll try to wriggle and argue that decades of labour was of no consequence compared to a couple of years where others had more influence than they previously had. The lib dems still haven't recovered from the example they gave in their term.

None of which changes the point, (which was your rather obvious hope) that this is a Labour stronghold and Hull is what it is due to the Labour party and I am largely happy with it. Something that confuses you binaries.

That's OK if you take the FTSE in isolation but most of the global markets have shown healthy gains and there not all affected by oil price rises.

Most of the global stock indices take their lead from the Dow Jones. if that rises, as it's been doing recently, most other indices will rise with it.

It's risen as the expectations are that Trump will be more business friendly, and care less about workers rights etc, than Obama

Of course oil is not the only reason the FTSE is rising. But three companies that make up over 15% of the entire index are bound to have an effect.

It was just meant to show how the fortunes of three companies, in this case all oil companies, can change the look of an index of 100 companies.

The article about 'economic threat' and mentioning bond yields is not only wrong, it's six months out of date.

Here is the current far steeper US yield curve, indicating higher rates in the future.
