The FA Cup 3rd round rolls into Adams Park and for the second year running we entertain a team from Brum but that is where the similarities end, as Villa were a Premier League side where as the Glassboys ply their trade six tiers lower in the Northern Premier League, but they will also be arriving at AP on mass having sold all of their allocated tickets which is similar to our FA Cup Semi where we also took 4 time our average attendance. This will be the first time the Glassboys have reached the FA Cup 3rd Round and they have come a long way to get there having started in the first qualifying round and have played seven games in the comp already. With no new injuries to his squad as far as we know Gaz will be fielding his strongest team with the Beast and Scotty Kashket starting along with goal scorers Paris and Woody, Big Blacks should return in goal. I will be getting to the ground early for this important game with over £67k going to the winners and into the hat with the big boys once again I expect the lads to give it their all along with the blue army and proudly go marching into Mondays forth round draw
I hope so Guy. I have memories of that banana skin a few years back (forgotten the team that beat us)
Eastleigh 2-0 (2008) and then Fleetwood 2-0 (2011) Hereford (2011 3rd Round) was also a bit embarrassing Very important to not let them get into this game. If they get their tails up it could be another banana skin
That was under Taylor i believe which says it all about that ****! I remember him saying "They wanted it more than us" Some wounds never heal
Whoever that Journo is he isn't very confident is he............. Cash wise a run in the cup is good. Distraction wise the league position is more important. I would swap our match no matter what the result for promotion Ron. Anyway, if you get through this round all the big teams will have been knocked out so you will have to play a minnow. You being giants that is........
That's it! 6,219 tickets snapped up for tomorrow's game between the #Chairboys & @StourbridgeFC; there'll be none available on the day.
How stupid. There could be a fair few people who might get caught up in the fever tomorrow and decide to go. Can never understand why they don't allow people in on the day (unless all ticket and sold out; which we aren't - still space for another 3,000 odd)
The reason is Stourbridge have sold out their allocation it will probably happen again with Luton & Pompey as soon as the away end sells out its to stop people getting in the wrong end.
For those without tickets you could always relive our first game in the FA Cup 3rd round 41 years ago
TEAM NEWS: new signing Gape starts; Bloomfield, Cowan-Hall, Akinfenwa and Kashket are all back in. #WYCvSTO https://t.co/RzYi2Delv1
Good to see we're taking this seriously considering the amount of money that could potentially be earned if we get through to round 4.
