Everything. These things didn't happen before the EU existed and they won't happen after we leave. Did you not see that the men were ASIAN and this happened 16 years ago? You know who was in power 16 years ago? LABOUR

No, you read the actual interview in French and work out exactly what she said rather than assuming someone else's interpretation is correct.

We should have a sweepstake on the timing of her inevitable backtracking speech.

When people point to the rise in the FTSE 100 as evidence of a healthy economy, it's worth remembering that while the index is made up of 100 companies, they all have different weightings in the index.

Oil has risen sharply recently. Now, as Royal Dutch Shell A&B shares and BP shares make up over 15% of the entire index, it shows that a rise in the index is not necessarily indicative of the overall prosperity of the corporate sector.

In this case, a large part of the rise in the FTSE is down to the rise in oil, prices. Which, of course, is not good news for the economy at all.

    translates to...

I want a national currency with the euro common currency: and the ECU

So she wants the Franc, but others to keep the Euro and want to go back to the old way ECU or EEC as we called it

You're close but you've lost some punctuation.
"I want a national currency with the euro common currency: and what was the ECU?"

However Le Pen's comment is translated, it's clear she's paid attention to the **** up over the referendum in the UK, the shambles it has caused in the government and the impending ****storm ahead. Her proposals are much more considered than an ill thought through Yes/No referendum with zero plans in place should the country vote to leave.

As the polls have shown the public move away from leaving the EU, then so has she.

France are in a catch 22 on the Euro, being surrounded by other countries makes a common currency very convenient so she is striking the balance between nationalism and practicality.

Like all politicians, what she says to try and get elected, and what she does if she succeeds, will be two entirely different things!....

If the Euro is to be untangled then the Euro could end up being more akin to it in future.
An agreed electronic currency with nations choosing whether to reintroduce national currencies tied to it.

However it's resolved, either by further integration or by some level of separation, it looks like a mess.

It has to be one or the other. What they have now is unworkable and always was.

The idea of a central monetary policy with absolutely no fiscal control was a pie on the sky idea.
