Not quite that drastic yet. I'll take Abus' stats and point out that we are still top , and as usual, well in front of Spurs. If I say it loudly enough I might even convince myself it was just a blip !!
Blimey old muckers , You were up your nelly without a paddle . Down at the " Cock and Bull " with no nickers Gertrude , she's got her knockers and on the razzle with a two up one down . Nice one Cyril . Keep it up Sid
wow @Hoddle Is A God giving it the big one, if this is you after winning a game... imagine if you guys actually go and win the thing, i don't think this site or your machine could cope! Pixie was right about the Small Hiag syndrome. @Spurlock is obviously the more savvy one, wait til things are in the bag before you have a good laugh else like Hiags other threads, spurlock can still rumble, have some good bants and not have to go into hiding XD
Too right Bobby, I'm not even bothered for wumming for wumming sake....but the boy Skiddy has been asking for it in the jungle that is the PL board. See you on the Spurs board Bobby lad.
I hope Conte galvanizes us just like he did after the Goons game. Calling out for Azpi weakness on cross for years. Alonso & Cahill should be nowhere in our starting 11. Bring in Zouma for Cahill & lock down the left side. Rotate Ivan for Azpi & Azpi for Moses. Moses is worn out already after exceeding all expectations of late. Don't play Pedro from the start. Willian would have made a lot of difference in this game today. Sell Thibo to the first bidder. Thibo could have easily prevented the second goal. He is so scared, feels like watching Cech. Thibo used to pull trees out playing for Atletico
Think we need to sleep on this result. Personally, my first thoughts are that we simply had a bad game. Spurs played a better game than us though (and I will be hounded for saying this) but I don't think they are as good as us. Looks as if we went out with either the wrong attitude, the wrong selections or the wrong tactics, or a bit of all the former. I honestly think Spurs were the only team trying to win, and we were trying not to lose, and hitting them on the counter. Spurs defence was simply right up to the task, and our attack wasn't. Our players haven't gone from 13 in a row winners to hopeless in 90 mins. Pretty sure Conte will get to the bottom of this and sort it. We do need to get Zouma playing a bit, and Chalobha and Mitchy, they need experience and match hardening, neither of which they'll get watching from the sidelines.
This was a record equalling run but like all runs by any team they come to an end. The more you win the greater the burden is to maintain it. I've said before the home win against Stoke showed that this burden was getting heavy on the minds of the players and manager. Losing it is unimportant but what is important is how we react in the next game! With the burden now off their shoulders I fully expect the team to rise to the challenge. A win in our next game will refresh the players and the defeat will have left their thoughts. Championships are not won and lost in one game they are won over the season as a whole and so far we have been better than the rest. This is where Conte's expertise comes into play getting this message into their heads. The only difference last night was we never capitalised on our chances and it was the first time we failed to score since the Arsenal game. Hopefully this defeat like the one against Arsenal will have the same effect and push us into another winning run. KTBFH.
You serious? The amount of bullshit that some of you Chavs were spouting ahead of this game, and you have the nerve to try to pull me up for celebrating our win! You've got some front. We didn't just beat you, we were far superior to you in every department. The media has been pulling its hack cock off with superlatives for your team and your manager, but last night Poch and our lads demonstrated exactly why we are now a force to be reckoned with, and all the hack media can do is talk about how Real Madrid is interested in buying Dele Alli. Well, you and the hack media can do one! We've only lost twice this season - you've lost three times. We are unbeaten in a London derby at home, under Poch. We are unbeaten at home, this season. These, and several other facts about us, as good reasons to celebrate and to be optimistic, mine is not idle boasting, Bobby-boy. What you have got to hope is that I am right - that Spurs is a far better side than yours, and that Poch is a far better manager than Conte. Because if I am wrong, then you had better be prepared to be handed your arses several more times this season by teams better than us.
