I'd like it to be senior businessmen in charge of things as May isn't giving anyone much confidence. They're also largely against draconian immigration rules. Your insistence that civil servants and politicians are just there to sign it off is odd though.

Your choice of articles on non-Brexit issues, as with all topics, are awfully selective and one-sided. I'll leave it at that as I can't be arsed while the Spurs game is on.

OK, I have only read the piece from the BBC website. I haven't really followed what's going on in France and it only caught my eye because I thought she was more "hardline" than the BBC seem to have portrayed her.

I'm 'insisting' nothing of the sort, <doh>

The fact you make that assumption, and then add assumptions to it, reinforces my comment that you should read to discuss, not to support your side, or you'll keep floundering as you have been.

It's not an assumption. You said less than an hour ago that negotiations will be carried out by businessmen and politicians are just there to sign them off.

You really rate yourself too highly when trying for these elusive wins.

I'm not the one trying for a 'win'.

You agree with me on the economy side of things.

Let's explore and see what other views we share.

Do you agree that there's more than one group involved in the negotiations? Do you agree that there's more than one set of negotiations that will be occurring? Do you think the EU lobbyists will be approached by external groups, such as businesses and bankers?

We aren't going to disagree on every single thing in the world just because you are an enormous **** slightly to the right of Tommy Robinson.

Bless you sweet cheeks. You just keep on showing that you really haven't got a grasp on any of this, and just try to trot out things you've read, with no idea if it's accurate or not.

You're no doubt hoping some lightweight will 'like' your 'abuse', and nobody will notice you've actually just avoided the questions. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Cue 'kettle/pot' bullshit. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Kettle and pot is spot on for both those paragraphs. Trotting out things you've read with no idea if it's accurate or not in particular.

As for the questions, of course various organisations including businesses will be in touch with lobbyists. That's hardly the same as the negotiations being mostly conducted by big business.

Whereas you trot out things no sane person would ever read. Insane right wing gibberish, in other words.

    Try again

France's far-right leader Marine Le Pen has outlined plans for France to leave the euro should she win this year's presidential election.
But she proposed Europe could return to a parallel Ecu-like common unit in a bid to soften the economic impact.

The Prime Minister will threaten to end Britain’s single market membership if the UK is not given full control of its borders in a landmark ‘Brexit vision’ speech later this month.

It's going to be more expensive to run the caravan. My Shell shares are flying though.

    From the BBC.

The price of petrol and diesel in the UK has risen to its highest since July 2015, following a three-pence-a-litre increase in December alone.
The average cost of unleaded petrol hit 117.23p at the end of the month, with diesel reaching 119.63p, the RAC said.

The wholesale price of both fuels has risen significantly, following the production cuts announced by Opec.
Brent crude jumped by 10% on 30 November, the day the cartel announced a cut of 1.2 million barrels a day.

As a result, the oil price is now double what it was a year ago, rising from a low of $27.88 in January 2016 to more than $55 this month.

The fall in the value of sterling since the Brexit vote has also increased UK fuel prices, as oil is priced in dollars.
