He's done it a few times, same with Magnusson, Tomlin always tries to get the other players to applaud the fans but they just walk off down the tunnel some times

And if rumours are to be believed on social media, Coventry skipper Jordan Willis is another figure being linked with a switch to Ashton Gate.

Jens Hegeler has completed his move to Ashton Gate, while speculation continues to surround City's moves for Milan Drjuric and Preston defender Bailey Wright.

Bristol City confirm their next transfer window signing is imminent.
Bristol City were today working on a deal to recruit a commanding central defender.

And the Championship club are now closing in on a third signing, with head coach Lee Johnson hoping to bring an experienced centre half in ahead of the weekend.

Although Johnson declined to name names earlier today, I understand City are set to announce a domestic signing within the next 24 hours. A fee has been arranged between City and the selling club, while personal terms have been agreed.

The player concerned was undergoing a medical today and it only remains for paper work to be completed before the Robins are in a position to announce their third addition of the January window.

"One in particular is close, but I never give names before deals are actually complete. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, there could be another one done very soon

"But this is a crazy window and you never know what might happen. Things change by the hour and you cannot be sure of anything until the deal is actually signed and the player is through the door."

The player is British and, providing City can register him with the Football Association by midday on Friday, he could feature in Saturday's FA Cup third round tie against Fleetwood Town at Ashton Gate

Assuming they are match fit and available for selection, the new guys need to hit the ground running if they are to halt the plummet down the table we've seen and save LJ's job..

The FA Cup is the sort of game at just the right time potentially, with less pressure than a league match that they can start to form partnerships/understanding with their new team mates.

If they don't LJ will be history, this manager has had more time, and money, than any other manager i can think of.

I really don't get this and I for one was not convinced about the appointment of LJ in the first place!

Whilst I appreciate that the run we're on is ****e to say the least, I believe that we are only a couple of players away from being a really decent Championship side. Hopefully, the ones who have already been brought in, and possibly one or two others, will be the difference.

The "time" thing really pisses me off these days; had Alex Ferguson and Alan Dicks been in their respective posts these days neither would have survived the first two years of their tenure! Lee will always have a problem with this club because of who he is, no matter how good (or bad) a manager he may become!!

People keep on talking about the money he has spent. Whether you like it or not, the money we have laid out is small fry now in footballing terms and has to be expected for any Championship side who has thoughts of progressing to the PL. Just because you pay £3 million for a player doesn't mean that he is going to be value for money or will do what you hope he will; I think the phrase "speculate to accumulate" springs to mind in this regard, but, as the adverts always say now, the value of any assets may go down as well as up.

I have to say that I've been impressed with the two new signings this week. Each has a decent background and I would have thought that a club destined to be relegated would not have been able to attract this kind of player. To me, it smacks of good things going on in the background that none of us knows about.

Only time will tell, but for me, my glass is still half full, despite the ****e run of form.

Didn't he once have a similar run at Barnsley and then had a similar run in the right direction. We need this to happen!
