Some of the nationals seem to be finally starting to pick up on what's going on...

The atmosphere at the KCom is toxic

Before Phelan’s sacking and the courting of Silva, fans had planned a boycott of Saturday’s FA Cup third-round tie against Swansea at the KCom Stadium. With every stay-away supporter urged to give £12 to charity instead, that initiative was gaining momentum but may now be scuppered by curiosity at the new manager’s expected presence in the home dugout. Despite the team’s dismal record, fans have generally stayed behind the players and resisted turning on Phelan, but there have been increasing “Allams out” choruses. Such toxicity is exacerbated by a controversial new membership scheme abolishing concessions for children and pensioners. Resultant supporter anger was manifested when John Oxley, a local businessman, paid £2,500 to be a matchday sponsor for the 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace last month. Oxley used his on-pitch access before kick-off to unfurl a banner declaring: “Bring back concessions. Allams out” before being ejected by stewards.

At last it's negative national coverage that's required to help the ALLAM's on their way out.

I mean I ask you...how easy was it to pick a game few already gave a f'ck about ? This is was pizzas me off about City,THE fixture to show real solidarity should have been a big televised game such as Man City,,but those in charge of matters already knew the facts, when it comes to proper solidarity, togetherness and fanatical support,we really are way out of our league in those terms and we all know it if truth be known.. Just another example as to why events OFF the pitch continue to see us being laughed at as a very small club in a very very big league with the kind off fickle, cynical plastic support our league position suggests.

    True story btw.

How so? The circumstances have changed, so why cant fans be allowed to reassess and choose to show full support to the new boss who we will expect to give us 100% in his efforts.

Anyone reading posts I have commented on in the past know that I am no fan of the Allams but I just don't see how a boycott will have any effect whatsoever on the owners. Have they not shown already that they really could not care less what any of us think. The protests have been going on long enough in the ground and they just remove themselves from the situation. They carry on with their "business" in their own way and always will I'm afraid. I love going to football (even though it has been tough lately) and I want to actually go to the game to support the team who have enough to contend with anyway without playing to an empty stadium. We got our tickets a couple of days ago and on viewing the seats available in the West stand there did not appear to be that many empty seats. We have a pass/membership seat in the East Stand but for this game decided to have a change and go West so not sure how the ticket sales are going in other parts of the ground.

We've explained many times that we have no intention of trying to persuade the Allams because as you say, that wouldn't work. This isn't about doing that. It's about bringing the issue to national attention.

Okay fair enough but I still can't support a boycott as I do not think it is fair on the team.

If only the Allams would also 'reassess' (like admit what cnu_nts they've been, apologise, and do many u-turns).

Real conundrum now. Fans wanting to support the new manager & his staff, and the team, but not wanting to be seen to support the Allams. I guess it's a) boycott still or b) attend but protest loudly at the Allams

    No.

The semi final game. Both legs.

Think we all know why a game that was already likely to be badly supported, until this appointment, was chosen.

Expect to see a presser explaining it looked a disaster because fans decided to support the team so as that's already a tag lineup it was in fact a success.

I am in two minds I was going to boycott this game as I want them ****s out but a new manager is in place and he needs our support.
I probably wont go but I'm not comfortably with it.
