    This is Gold!!!!

Payet? Bilic? New Stadium? and ultimately the allure of playing with big andy carroll, you really couldn't ask for more. Even being in London and not having to each cheesy chips or look at your pink seats all the time!

Who else is worth anything? Anichebe, that little ginger bugger whatmore, the last ginger bast ard we knicked off you on a free turned out rubbish. I honestly belive the valuation of the players at NUFC would be a lot higher than Sunderland.

Watch Defoe go! It's horrible when you sell your best player! HA

Think you're going to be disappointed if you expect us to sell Defoe and Pickford for just over eleven million for both of them.

I don't expect Defoe to be going anywhere anyway unless one of the top clubs is desperate for him. United could do with him as a replacement for that old bloke they've got upfront.

I'd have him for £8m as back up for Rashford.

    Difficult call.

    Instinct is he won't leave.

I mean West Ham aren't going anywhere this season whereas he could make the difference at you guys. Plus he probably recognises it would likely sink you.

However, he started there did he not? Would probably prefer London. Even though they aren't doing too well they do have higher aspirations and a new big stadium if that appeals to him.

Don't think you would get more than top £14 mill and the relative cost of you going down is obviously much higher.

I'd be getting him in a meeting and pleading him not to go - give him the option of moving end of the season if he wants to and offer him a pay rise. Captaincy?

I will not go back if he is sold and the fact we are still bigger than WHU even though they get a 56,000 average we crave football up here.

I Don't think that would work,- 'captaincy' is not worth much,- A pay rise he will get anyway if he moves, Waiting till the end of the season might work as an inducement 'cause if we go down he will get a free anyway

Trade usually is a case of someone buying something they value more than the person selling it so you both look to gain. Here I don't see West Ham having a higher valuation of Defoe than Sunderland unless they accept they are going to pay over the odds - from their point of view Hull and Swansea look gone and if they rid you of Defoe you're in massive crap. A tactical ploy?

I can't see him throwing his toys out of the pram like some suggest, he's of an age whereby he cannot afford to lose half a season through shenanigans. If he was 10 years younger then perhaps.

As for Saleable assets - Pickford £20m+, Kone £15m+ would be less damaging to you but you're better off just holding on to who you have and looking for other loans. You're allowed a couple more from abroad right?

If we do sell him then it will show that we intend to relegate ourselves so I would spend the rest of our season relaxed in the knowledge that all is going according to plan! Bliss!

That seems to have been our plan for the past 5 seasons or so, but we keep cocking it up!
