Elvis Memphis on his bike by the look of it - "I have to say that in the past couple of months my decisions in relation to Memphis were influenced by the feelings and information that he would like to leave in January and that we were going to have a real offer that we would be willing to accept," said Mourinho. "That obviously influences me. If I know, if I have the feeling that a player is leaving - if I have to give chances and develop other players - then I go to Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Martial, the players I know 100 per cent who are going to stay with us. "It is a position where we have more options."
Rio suggesting the possibility of Patrice Evra returning - Former Manchester United defensive colleague Rio Ferdinand has suggested a return to Old Trafford could be on the cards for Juventus left-back Patrice Evra. The 35-year-old Frenchman made 379 appearances for United between 2006 and 2014, winning five Premier League titles. Respected Manchester United writer Andy Mitten would like to see an Evra return, as you can read here. Writing on Instagram, Ferdinand said: "Throwing it out there... @patrice.evra I'm hearing through social media you coming home bro?!? Talk to me!"
The Cheshunt keyboard warrior returns. Thought you'd be upstairs at the Pied Bull watching your lot practice losing tonight.
I do see a loss for you tonight - and by the time you play away to City in a couple of weeks I suspect we will have deftly leap-frogged you into 4th.
I'm not going to argue, as I have predicted a loss for us tonight, over on the Spurs board's league prediction thread. If - and I do wish to emphasise that word, if - we can beat Chelsea, I think we can genuinely challenge for the title, and secure a top 4 spot. If we get a draw, I think we will be competitive for a top 4 spot. If, as I expect, we lose, I think we are going to struggle to finish in the top 4. Regardless, and in all honesty, I do not see United finishing in the top 4, this season. I will add, that my mother, and two of my closest cousins are life-long United supporters. As you might well imagine, my views are extremely well received within my family circle.
Jose Fonte has apparently handed in a transfer request. Could this be the experienced centre half/leader we are seeking, rather than laying out a **** load on another younger defender, of which we have many? Also covers Bailly while he's on international duty, who himself could move to right back (should Tony V be injured) should Fonte form a good partnership with Jones.
Seems like something is going on in the background. Otherwise, he wouldn't have handed in the request. I hope it is with United though.
That whole Griezmann/Pogba/Martial dynamic would be fantastic - for club and the French national side. Griezmann did say that he would leave when Simeone goes - you never know
Ofcourse he will come if the money is right, as with any footballer they follow the money. Will be a lot of money to spend on a player who's main dutie will be to track the opponents full back up and down the pitch all game
Benzema is a centre forward, not a winger And as for Ronaldo, Ronaldo never won 1 Ballon Do'r in Mourinho's 3 seasons managing him. Yet since he's left he's won it 3 of the last 4 seasons. Pretty much says it all really. No wonder Ronaldo couldn't wait for him to leave
