The positives outweigh the negatives. Unless you go crazy with caffeine consumption it shouldn't be a problem. From what I see, it adds b vitamins (not strips them). Excessive consumption might be bad if a woman , a child or anemic. Sounds like iron (most men get much more than they need and for men over 40 excess iron is bad), calcium and magnesium (if drinking huge amounts) are the most at risk. Calcium is the only possible negative there for many people. Most men get enough calcium. Older women and kids probably shouldn't drink alot of coffee I guess.
I have a yank colleague who happily stumbles onto the phone at 8am his time and bumbles through worse than homer simpson blaming lack of kahfee for his mutton headed uselessness. Kaaahhhhfeeeee... hmmmmm.
The simple answer to your coffee debate is don't go nuts with it. Have a cup of coffee now and then but not 3 or 4 a day. I have 1 cup of tea or coffee in the morning and then drink water all day. Someone is going to tell me that all that water is bad for me now.
Well done sir. No mystical defense of water... or adding lemon and cucumber to it etc etc. This debate is like gluton free stuff. Nothings that good nor bad for you cos stuff that is actually bad for you like poisonous mushrooms aint available in asda Moderation in all things.

Christ they have an actual side show entitled How To Drink More Water Thats going a bit far even for murica.
I don't understand people like that. I think it's more psychological than anything. Just like the experiments where they hold "parties" and have a bowl of punch that they tell the guests is spiked with alcohol and they can drink as much as they like. Inevitably the guests get "drunk" even though they haven't had alcohol. I think with some people they think they are expected to act like zombies before they drink coffee. They only demonstrable affect coffee has on me is that it makes me poop.
Coffee at work is ****. I only really drink it properly on weekends using the coffee machine and bean grinder.
Ours is nasty too. Tastes like that expensive coffee, kopi luwak, where they take coffee beans that have been partially digested by civets and extract the beans from the poop, but in this case, instead of using the coffee beans they just use the poop. Fortunately there is a bean grinder in the kitchen. I just grind my own and make some at my desk.
he's a californian... nothing he does matters in the real world. Its just an excuse cos he never bothers his arse to prepare for a meeting. If he'd lay out his schedule for the following day at 4:45pm the previous day and know his **** he'd not humm and errr through simple questions.
