Everybody in the country has been effected, mass lay offs, rising bills and no money buts pressure on everybody. If your still in work your holding on hopin you dont get made redundant, if its already happened your in the ****. The kids are always the first to blow but if this country continues with cut backs, redundancies and price hikes it wont be long till the riots swell to include you. When peolpe feel like they have no voice, are ignored and generally being shat on from a great height they will lash out in any direction, through anger but mostly through frustration.
What a load of balls. These people are rioting cause they enjoy it not because they feel frustrated. Stop making excuses for people enjoying violence.
Completely agree with that. I heard a young lad on the radio saying 'we're skint always have been, always will be, no jobs, this is all we know, innit' he then went on to say 'this riot will become your riot unless the government change the way this country is run, you all think you're safe, but this is just the beginning' The kid may be a young black kid in poverty but he knows the social situation of this country better than a rich educated white man will ever know.
I come from Belfast. I've seen riots and how people behave and react in them. Nothing to do with politics. A craving for violence takes over all common sense.
Absolute nonsense. The rioting is not the problem - it is the symptom of a far deeper problem. One question for you: Why would people riot if they were living in a respected resourceful community?
Plus i would also go as far as to say the riots in Belfast were due to a completely different situation - comparing the two is impossible.
Rioting not the problem. Tell that to those innocent people who have lost their homes, businesses etc. Who knows if the prats would riot in better areas since rioters don't give a rats arse where they cause mayhem (speaking from experience). I've got 2 questions for you. Do you think the rioters are enjoying themselves? Also even if you believe that symptom of a far deeper problem crap, do you believe the rioters should be dealt with firmly by the courts?
I agree, loyalist marches through nationalist areas should'nt be allowed, they are the root cause of the violent riots in Belfast. London is a completely different scenario and issue.
Really? So the majority of people rioting in Belfast did it totally for political reasons and never enjoyed the violence?
You have just proved you know absolutely **** all. Get real and think about the situation that is happening. Riot's don't just happen for no reason!!! Understand the link between Sociology, Politics, and Psychology and you may even start to understand what i am saying. You quite clearly don't even grasp what i am saying so to even bother having a debate with you is absolutely pointless.
Trying to stay away from the finer detail in NI, but not all riots here were about marches etc. There is a mentality in a crowd that enjoys the violence regardless of what community leaders, etc try to claim as the reason for it starting.
What has that got to do with anything? You don't need a degree in psychology or to have been in a riot to see what is clearly happening to our society before our very own eyes.
Whatever. Tell you what blame everyone else expect the rioters. Its the recession, its the tories, its the evil police.......
