I dont understand why they dont sell him instead of sending him out on loan, I mean its pretty obvious that City dont want him

It's pretty simple. No-one wants to buy him.

    Sell him to who?

He's got two years to run on a contract paying him at least three times what he's worth, who's going to take that on?

Clearly nowhere near the first team so even saving a portion of his wages is still a saving.

I think that really only applied to Jimmy, considering we were expected to pay £20k-25k towards his wages.

Ghilas is only on around £14k in comparison and even though he's not worth that, I'm sure the Allams would happily subsidise half of that as opposed to half of Jimmy's.

Ghilas is on about £23,000 a week, which is still far too much. Reims aren't wealthy, but they aren't poor either, so I expect they will pay about 30-40%.

Around £23k? randomly quite specific <laugh> I thought he was on far less than that, as I stated in my last comment. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

I think Ghilas had a relegation clause, so he will be on less than twenty now, but whatever it is, it's too much.

That's because I vary rarely share what I hear about. This one was so obvious and, to be frank, so unharmful to anyone inside the club it was easy to spek about.

    Wanna know what Bullard did?

    Come on...

Now you are obliged to tell. That was the most obvious question posted here in weeks.

I may be closer to the mark then with £14k, isn't a relegation clause usually quite hefty, like 40%?
If that's the case, and he was previously on £23k, then he would have dropped £9.2k to £13.8k.

£200 off with my guess. God I'm good. ;)

Why would we want another old redundant striker? We have already signed Adebola, if we're going to sign a striker, we should at least sign someone who'll benefit the team.

He's had 2 pre-seasons to impress and has done sod all in either.. Stade de Reims are a famous club in France, in the days of Raymond Kopa & Just Fontaine they reached the European Cup final where they lost to Real Madrid.. Ghilas will only get to a Europan Cup final if he buys a ticket..

Ghilas' wages were reported last season as £16k, with Arles paying £8k towards them.
