Key question is has he walked or been sacked?

Either way reflects poorly on the club. Shame that he won't get chance to prove those fans who don't like him wrong.

How the **** does it reflect poorly? We're rooted down in the relegation zone and were dog **** for months.

We need someone with experience who can keep us up with no money & knows how to manage with a couple of jokers as owners..

er....Nigel Pearson ??

as much as I hate pearson........ he could keep us up.
maybe we could replace him the summer.

They may well, but you're hardly going to write in Phelan's farewell notice "The club lost faith in that sack of **** weeks ago and we've had his successor lined up ready to go."

They may well announce someone tomorrow or the day after.

This. People bleating about Phelan having an impossible job are forgetting the form we've shown over the last month. The manner in which we've conceded goals particularly the last two weeks was utterly avoidable if he had had us set up in a decent formation and had actually played our best players.

Are you taking he piss? What other formation and players could we use?

Maloney as a lone striker maybe? Tyson at left wing? David Meyler at right back?

Unlikely, given they promised to sell the club in 24 hours.
