well the good. We fought hard. Some good performances, And we have another first team to come back. And the travelling 'orns fantastic. The bad: bit disappointed to see the Gov getting so frustrated. Swansea look like getting a result and we are nearer the dig fight. But still think we will be ok. If nothing else I'll be back at the Vic in the next few weeks and recently that has always been a win. So very happy new year to one and all.
That does us a favour really - it keeps Palace off our tails. But yes - an improved performance. Let's hope a new face or two makes a difference sooner rather than later.

Two soft goals, but there were some decent enough performances. Doucouré best of the lot for me. Where has he been?
We seem to be struggling in defence which is a disappointment as we have a few experienced International players at the back... Trouble is we aren't scoring either. Last season for a while you at least relied on Deeney or Ighalo getting a goal or two.
Was a better performance all we could ask for? A least a bit of fight. Sloppy goals mind. The second one, jesus christ, Prodl misses it and Crouch flukes it in. Kids for the FA Cup - everyone needs a rest, staying up is the main priority. Then hopefully some new faces to add to the squad and we can forget about the Xmas period, get a few injured players back and try to string some results together.
The second one is an awful mistake but much more allowable than the first. The first mistake is an oft-repeated mistake of positioning at a set-piece. Those of you who go regularly, please advise me as to what the (insert your own word here ) is going on? What the (whatever word you feel is appropriate ) are they practising in training? How in the name of (again, please insert your own favoured word) are they making the same errors over and over again? The apparent lack of progress - please advise me if I'm wrong on this - worries me greatly re WM.
