I know, I (or HCT or Allams) would owe the Allams £80m. If the Allams put the club into administration, they would also wipe out a lot of their (HCT's) £80m debt.
Sorry don't know why I was thinking DD, I meant the Fit and Proper test. I assume that we would know before that starts as the club would have to accept an offer, like with the previous group?
Yeah sorry I don't mean the DD they have to do with the club, I meant the Fit and Proper test the FA (or is it the PL?) do, thought that takes about a month and can't start until an offer is accepted, meaning we would know before that starts.
I suppose it depends; the Allams would, I expect, want to exit quietly out the back door, they know we all want a sale and want them gone. They aren't going to give us the satisfaction of waving goodbye.
Well here's hoping. Would be remarkable to wake up tomorrow to the news that we have new owners and a new manager!
Please let it be in January. Can I suspend this self imposed prohibition until after the transfer window?
I wouldn't have thought tomorrow, but if a deal is being done, then certainly in the next few weeks. If it's a new manager he'll need backing and if there's a sale on then he'll need to be in pronto, as will the new owners.
Yeah was exaggerating slightly, but if it were to happen out of the blue soon it would be remarkable.
Maybe if its sold, Escab will sanction and open top ticker tape parade for him not the players..... I'd buy a drone and bomb the ****...
We're all that desperate for good news. It's a repeat of what happened a few weeks ago with the rumour a press announcement was to take place 10.30 on a Friday night(?). Nothing materialised. I did hear two fellas chuckling away at Allamhouse though
Not sure re how the Prem rules on not competing work. Its a good point...My thoughts re the club and its worth come relegation revolve around the future payments from sky and the much smaller wage bill through sale of players and non recruitment... I dont feel that the Allams have enough football nounce to keep us up regardless if they have the will to do so. My belief is that relegation is not a problem to them. Not sure what they have received back through interest payments so dont really know the correct amount they would need to break even.
