I can see why this sort of thing gets to us, but at the same time I really hope every team in the Premiership are thinking exactly the same. If teams go into a game against us thinking we are as awful as this 'article' make out then we will survive with weeks to spare!

I don't think any real football fans or anybody who has seen us over the last year or two will think like this though. Is quite amazing that some of these people actually get paid to write about something they have no knowledge on.

It's not necessarily the final prediction that isn't all a bed of roses, but the general article is absolutely awful

We all know it's not going to be easy, and most newly promoted teams are tipped for an instant return to the Championship.
However, occasionally some of them survive i.e Fulham, Wigan, WBA (this time), Sunderland, Blackburn, Wolves (this time), Stoke City, Reading survived 1st season as did Hull City!

Basically these comments from outside parties are bollocks and worthless.
All 3 teams promoted have a chance to survive.

Think I'm going to be sick! The guys pretty naive. I'm not bothered about being tipped to go down, that's to be expected. But, this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Does he know what football is?

O well, it's just a bit of a laugh to be honest!

God preserve us, has this guy ever watched us play ? What a complete prat, article sums the Yanks up perfectly and sums up exactly why The USA will NEVER suceed at "Soccer" (God I hate that word!). Oh, and another thing, it's also the first time anyone has refered to Paul Lambert as "tactically naive" <doh> What a prick ! ...<laugh>

If the media influence the next generation into calling football "soccer". I will take the personal responsibility of clipping my kids and anyone elses kids on the back of the ear everytime they offend with this word. I advise everyone else to do the same.

Infact from now on I will pledge to pass out the same punishment to any person using or insighting to use that disgusting word. Football is named so because the game involves using a foot to kick a ball. American football is played with a rugby ball, one person can kick the ball. He has to brought onto the pitch to do it. If they wanted a use for S word then why didn't the just name American football "soccer" and be done with it. I don't hate the yanks but none of their big sports even comes close to football and over my dead body will they adjust its name in this country.

and in relation to the thread. Yes this guy is a total numpty and knows nothing about our club.

People who call it soccer are the same people, generally, that call it the EPL I find ;)

That's a preview much like all the media ones about our club. Realistically, all the major sports writers online and in the papers who cover the league from afar have no idea who either of our clubs are and aren't going to risk looking stupid by saying "I love this club, and I think they'll stay up".

One or two people saying that would be nice though...
