Just been catching up on all the MOTD's since I last watched one. I've only watched City highlights due to the amount I had, but this has given me the chance to see just how bad we've been.
    The following are my notes:
Southampton Marshall missed a corner 3 good saves, but expected, poor defending.
Marshall slid in on Sun'lan player, lucky not to give penalty away.
Marshall let's a lot of shots in just over his head, why? Lead footed, see below line.
Palace, Marshall lead footed for Campbell equaliser. See above line.
Spurs, Marshall great save from free kick, it bounces back off the post & Wanyama scores, next games Marshall still in goal. Jak manages to save a shot v Arse & gets dropped because the save was pushed to the side & it resulted in a goal.
Wet Spam, another reason to ****ing hate them, James ****ing Corden supports them! Clucas won't score in the PL, he's too slow. Bob & Jake off for Dio & Markus. Another Marshall attempted punch that was ****ed up.
Man City, Mason & Hendricksen sent on! Say no more!
Everton, Marshall HUGE **** Up! Apparently Scots & defending don't go together, Snodge, Robbo & Marshall! For the second equaliser!
West Brom! Abysmal defending, but Marshall looks lead footed! Confidence?
Overall defence have no faith in Marshall, he needs to be dropped ASAP, if he stays we're down, any chance of us remotely surviving he has to go. END OF!
He has made some good saves but his overall play has cost us more than anyone else. His lack of reading the game, the basic goalkeeper ability to see where the ball is going!

Positives: Harry, looks good going forward, Bob, holds the ball up well, Daws scoring, Snodge's goals.

Finally does anyone else think that MOTD commentators do the commentary after they know the results? Some of the things they come out with seem just too close to what actually happens, with the obvious exception of ,"Huddlestone, we know he can hit them from there!"

A Scottish bloke I work with says Marshall flatters to deceive as he makes good looking highlight reel saves but has always been guilty of regular costly basic mistakes. Apparently McGregor is marginally the better goalie but with the same basic weaknesses. The only reason either of them have so many international caps is due to Craig Gordon's injury issues as he is by far the best Scottish goalie.

I must admit I watch Marshall and he doesn't have any spring at all when he jumps or dives.

Surely he must do the same in training which begs the question why isn't the Jak getting a fair go

Spot on with all that Bruce. Why can't Phelan see what everyone else can see. Namely Marshall is lead footed, has no agility, has poor anticipation, and is way past his former best. I look forward to seeing Jak back in goal for the Cup games.

McGregor has been pretty reliable for us over three years as our regular keeper. He's made the odd error, but I certainly wouldn't say he's prone. Marshall has never had that reputation either as far as I'm aware, and he's only made one for us. It was a ridiculous one, but people had already decided he was terrible months before that.

MOTD commentaries are done of the full match and live. They're then edited down to the packages we see but the words they say are said at the time of it happening. There has been few instances where they've had to dub a commentary on top to edit a mistake out that may have been said live but that's very rare.

The away fans were chanting for Marshall yesterday. First time I recall that's happened.

No, not bashing, just pointing out from MOTD highlights I got through last night, the fact he's piss poor at his job begs the question why he's still doing his job in the public eye, instead of being on the bench.

News for you, he's not piss poor.

The real reason he's so **** is because your delusional little brain is finding lots of illogical and nonsensical reasons to blame him for everything from 9/11 to the Boston Marathon bombing.

One website has McGregor back soon. Is that just to full training?

I just think it's got ridiculously over the top, Marshall was far better than Diomande yesterday, yet we don't have a single 'Diomande is ****' thread. I wouldn't mind, but the vast majority of goals conceded have been defensive errors, not goalkeeping ones, but he's getting the blame regardless.

He's not a **** keeper, he's a keeper who's being hung out to dry by those in front of him not doing their jobs properly.

Those in front of him have no confidence in him, because when the ball is near the goal, he doesn't know what to do.
