Theres a unwritten law in football that Hull City are not allowed to buy natural goal scorers. In the time I have been watching I can name Elliott, Windass and maybe Hernandez and Alexander in fits and starts. There definitely out there, and not for astronomical money.
Michael Dawson was past the near post on both corners. Wtf is that's all about. He should know better than to be ran there. Terrible terrible decision by him.
I think your right but we get linked to them, don't get them in until there s***, Altidore, etc. We really did miss out on Andre Gray
Bruce got rid of Chester and Brady because he got us relegated - if he wasn't so keen on dropping Curtis. Macca and farming out Maguire so he could get his son a long term contract we wouldn't be having this conversation
Completely ****ing delusional. How many times. He didn't get rid of Chester and Brady. Seriously are you ******ed or thick as pig ****?
**** me, all this whinging and we're not even cut adrift yet. What will it be like when we're relegated with 5 games to play All of this has been foreseeable since July when Bruce left - why are we all surprised ? Phelan's out of his depth and I feel sorry for him. I think he might do himself a favour by walking away. Players are trying their best but we lack PL quality. All these problems stem from lack of leadership at the top of the club.
They left because we got relegated - Brucie got us relegated - the reason they left is Bruce - I appreciate you'd like to blame it on Phelan but tough it was Bruce
Okay, Chazz, I can take your opinion of their quality, although injuries in hindsight is nonsense; but the real issue was always not bringing in similar cover. We ended up with a team that looked like it had been assembled to play 3-5-2 (if he had of set-up as 5-3-2 then we could understand his madness better), but he set-up as 4-4-2 with some strange variants. The only one who fitted was Dave, who took some time to bed in, but it was a strange strategy. Surely you can accept that, as it still plagues us now?
Curtis Davies looks as if he is burning out, he has played all the preseason games as well as all the cup and league games if my memory serves me correctly.

The dramatic drop in standard from our defence cannot be placed entirely at the door of MP. We have two very senior CBs in Dawson and Davis who should be bossing these set pieces. Dawson is out of position and that is bizarre for a player of his quality - unless it is instruction, and we don't know that. The pair of them have always seemed to have a problem playing together; they can be brilliant and then simply awful; there is not the consistency we should expect at this level. We had a better defence with Jake there, although it was a back 4. If we had a RB and a LB, it would seem the obvious solution, pushing Harry into Defensive MF. None of this is ideal, because we don't have a balanced squad, so some creative thinking needs to be done. MP switched on Saturday and I saw quite a bit of negativity about it, but did you watch the first half? I think he (MP) is doing what he can and, but for stupid personal mistakes by players, he really should be getting far more support from the boards.
Pulis commented on player fatigue yesterday. Players are only tired because everybody tells them they're tired. They should try working down a mine for seven days straight.
Probably because he isn't here anymore: we are too far into the season to use him as an excuse, as we have seen some excellent performances, but nothing that has 90mins. This nmanager and players are responsible for the sorry capitulations we have witnessed, no one else - not even Ehab.
