I suspect having never done it... that mistakes made down there even if you were tired could be catastrophic..
A keeper is the last line of the DEFENCE.....Its up to the DEFENCE to clear corners....Our defence doesn't do that.. Hence we ship goals at corners..Not Marshall's fault..
He was asked about having to play 2 games in three days after the busy Christmas programme & how relieved was he that it was all over. His response was along the lines of "I think a lot of it is physiological, everybody keeps telling everybody they're tired. So they are tired. We're in an era where people are pampered & spoiled. Players get paid an absolute fortune, Two games in three days? Are you sure? Our lads kept going & kept going because we told them the preparation was fantastic & they're fit lads. Blimey, go down the pit & work down the pit for seven days."
Splitting hairs, but perhaps he's the first line of defence... he should be seeing everything in front of him... I don't see him as a voice.. IMHO
A keeper usually gets blocked at corners...In the goals we have conceded from corners with the exception v Everton the defenders have lost their men.. Result free headers...I'm not having this Marshall slagging off...I wonder how Jak would have done...Any better?...Got my doubts....But there you go...Its all about opinions..
All three goals could have been avoided. We are getting punished for making basic errors. Poor marking. Not putting in challenges. Poor positioning. Terrible keeping - he's not responsible for every goal we concede and he has made some great saves but Marshall is the worst keeper we've ever had in the Premier League. Clucus was obviously wrongly positioned for the second goal, but if it hadn't been given as a goal it could easily have been handball and a sending off. The third goal showed Maguire at his most clumsiest. I know that he's a whole-hearted player and is capable of really good play but it's an aspect of his game that he needs to irradicate. I really fear the worst for the rest of the season.
Every day IS a good one, even when we lose.. He is just an idiot that thinks its.ok for kids to pay adult prices and your not a true fan if you boycott home games. Loud mouth know **** all with no kids.££ Good first half today . Not good second .

He must try changing the keeper. We had gobby McGregor and a fairly resolute back line, gobby Jak similarly, quiet Marshall and it's a train wreck. Not saying Marshall's a bad keeper but something's so obviously wrong he must try it.
