Klopp should learn more about managing games when we are winning. Our players keep on giving stupid free kicks away. Teams fighting relegation are always difficult to play on their own grounds.
I feel he's becoming a player that raises the game of those around him. Firmino hasn't been the same and Mane has been good but not as good. I think we need some signings in January ...
Just switched over to Sky Sports news, and it's no wonder that dicktosses like Turddevil were ****ing off about Mane's goal being offside - Charlie Nicholas still is in his summary! Apartn from the fact that he's not off anyway, can he not see on the replay that it comes off the Sunderland player? Or is he claiming Mane is offside from the corner? (I wouldn't be surprised, and it wouldn't be the first time an ex-player commentator on Sky has shown they don't know the offside rule). And as it happens, I agree with Klopp's view that the freekick for the second pen was dodgy as ****, but that's not the point. Even had we played 4 games in 4 days, the last game was against... Sunderland. Anyhow, please let's not have any nonsense about how we don't need to buy in this window - we had no midfield today. for starters.
Just got in....heard the result on the radio. These results can happen....especially when you play less than 48 hours ago. The season will have a few twists and turns yet and I suspect a few will involve us, some will involve all of the other top 6. We should keep focussed on what we need to achieve for top 4. That was always the plan....anything more would have been a big bonus!! My biggest concern is our squad now. Today we were missing Matip, Hendo, Coutinho and from tomorrow we won't have Mane and am guessing that Sturridge will miss his mandatory 3 games minimum. That's going to leave us very very thin. Luckily, it's FA cup weekend so we have time to get some back....for our next league game at old Trafford. We need them back badly now, with perhaps the odd signing thrown in
I agree. We didnt lose. We have had our best first 20 games in many a year and frankly theres whinging cos chelsea have won 13 in a row. We have done ok some players were frankly dreadful thats clear but hey.. the sky hasnt fallen in here!
Would rather have beat city as that takes points away from rival, but it is the frustration. The games that have cost us 1st in the prem to date are Burnley, Bournemouth and Sunderland. When talk of the title raises its head those teams are the reason we won't do it. Chelsea got pegged back and upped their gears against Stoke. 10 out of twelve WOULD have been good but the competition has taken 12/12 and the other teams around us have mostly taken maximum points. If we are to recover then we need to take another 10 pref 12 in next block. Not knee jerk have maintained that Chelsea are the team to catch but that is stating the obvious. The main worry is that we drop out of CL places and at the moment all the front runners are winning.
We'll put in a last minute enquiry for a loan of Berahino and maybe, just maybe, we'll get some knockdown, thitysomething defender from Aston Villa until the end of the season.
Yeah I get the frustration but dont get the "we may as well not have won the other games" We cant win every game, although would be nice! We're having a brilliant season and it is still early days for us
I said before we played the ****e that I'd be ecstatic with ten points, but that was because I thought we could drop points against Everton and/or City. Sunderland? No disrespect at all, but we should have been able to put the reserves out against them IF we'd have had a squad that a club of our wealth should provide.
