Just a thought is the Stourbridge game more important with the money for winning plus a possible 4thrd draw & it proves we can win from a losing position we must still be top of the form table. Looks like we got a bit lucky again with the second goal. We have gained four points on Plymouth over the holidays.
Oh boy! Did you make bleddy hard work of that or what.............I really thought you were going to blow this game and after what I'd said above as well. The stats on your match says it all about Newport. They are truely a basket case. When they went one up I was expecting them to be dying all over the pitch at every opportunity and taking 10 minutes on every throw in and goal kick. That would have pissed off Ainsworth wouldn't it.................Even the easy games are bleddy hard aren't they.
Good to get that monkey off our backs and a great goal from man of the match Sammy Wood playing centre midfield totally bossed it and ran his socks off and a lovely cross / shot from Paris to win it roll on Saturday only negative was the defensive calamity that led to their goal
They say there are no easy games in the Championship goes for league 2 as well unless you are playing Notts County
Have just watched the highlights on the Wycombe web site looks like a penalty missed by the ref & linesman
Yep if Newport had been given that it would have been a draw.............. I don't think any leagues have it easy except in the top one there are only a handful who can win it except in exceptional years of the fluke. The other 3 leagues are harder than the top one as there are no out and out favourites who are going to walk it. Not picking on them but hands up who is most peoples favourite every season if it isn't Portsmouth. Just look at how long they have been here as they haven't managed to get out of it yet. On paper they are the biggest club in this league by far.
The thing with Pompey is their crowds the week before Christmas they had 17,000+ Doncaster next with 10,000 then Carlisle with 4600 then us with 4500 they even sold out of their allocation of tickets away at Blackpool midweek madness
