We generally don't for the Jan window, as there's so much less business than in the summer, but I'm happy to split them if it's what others would prefer?

As we're only likely to sign a couple of loans, there's not much of our own news to separate out.

They had plenty of involvement when they agreed to it and signed the contract ffs.

Why, Chazz , You do realize there Is No Limit on the capacity of pages that can be generated in a thread , Unless, It's widely apparent and in your case that you need reminding of the above fact. in contrast of the amount of boredom you post, and that your Ego & tantrums are bigger than the spaces provided. Indeed even Bigger than the Club Your purporting to support.

Snodgrass is only doing what anyone would do. Ehaw is doing what he does, which isn't much! Snodgrass is in the form of his life at 30 in the biggest league in the world..I think he deserves some security (but I think he wants it elsewhere). He could get another major injury today and then he's screwed. But if someone comes in with a good offer and long contract I'm sure he'll be gone and everyone will be happy....except the fans. Deal with it!

It's not just about security, he's got a relegation clause that see's his income drop by around 40% when we're relegated and we look like we're not going to spend the money required to have any chance of staying up, why the hell would any in demand player want to stay somewhere he's guaranteed a massive pay cut?

He could just say I'll give my all to this club that has stood by me when I was out injured and will battle all season for them. I'm not going anywhere.
Then get a transfer in the summer.

He always gives his all and he hasn't put in a transfer request, the bile you're throwing his way is completely unwarranted.

That as well. But that clause is an absolute joke when the owners make no effort at all to stay in the league! He wouldn't have signed (agreed to the clause) for us if he was the only player we bought when we went up last time.

Just as a matter of interest would any of Snod's wages during his season injured have been covered by insurance?

Highly unlikely, I don't think players have insurance for anything other than career ending injuries.

    Club surely should?

Pretty sure clubs are insured against injuries on International duty though I could be making that up.

Newcastle United have made a loan bid for Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley, which includes an option to buy in the summer.

The FA pay the wages of players injured on international duty, the clubs don't insure them.

Was just using that as an example of organisations insuring players for risk of injury.

Found this on the net, it says it's a regulation, which surprised me.

In the English Premier League and the Football League, there is a different regulation depending on the fact whether or not the injury was sustained under club duty. In the case of an injury sustained under club duty, the club pays for the player his basic salary for 18 months. For the remaining period before recovery, the club is obliged to pay only 50 % of the salary.

    http://www.stirrassociates.com/player-salaries-whilst-injured-situation-across-europe/

As far as insurance goes it seems to be available but only recently (2015?) but I can't find out if anyone has taken it up.
