Just caught up with Vikings. Its a shame to see Ragnar go because he's been such a fantastic character but I think like its been mentioned on here previously he had to die to move the story forward. Looking forward now to see his sons characters being developed, though I think it'll mostly be Ivar and Bjorn because the show doesn't seem to have invested much time into his other 3 sons.

They're following the history/legend/mythology/saga whatever you will call it (very loosely at times - for example Rollo doesn't become King of Paris until much later in history and after the Great Heathen Invasion of England, yet he is already King in the show) but with Ragnar they've been quite accurate and at this point in the story he dies in a **pit of snakes** (@DirtyFrank @InBiscanWeTrust) so it has to happen, yes, they don't really have a choice!

Those two sons will be principals now for sure. As they are in the 'real' saga. The others are just canon-fodder for further down the line, you're invested a little bit in them, enough for their scenes to be interesting, and they play a part but it doesn't really matter when they get splatted/chopped

Does that make it any less ****?

So sat down to finally watch BvS today. Well... I'd say its an 6/10 film maybe 6.5. Problem is its too dark, literally, the cinematography is so dark even the parts set during the day (which there weren't many), crime apparently doesn't take place on bright sunny days, just on dark miserable nights. Its also too dark in the style and feel of the film, what makes the Marvel films so much better as they have moments of light-heartedness. The story was also very minimal and wasn't enough to fill a 2 1/2hr film, how they stretched it to fill the time is perhaps the most remarkable thing about the film. The dialogue was also so ****ing heavy and the interactions are all 'business' ie there to drive the story forward, its just not natural.
However I did think there was promise for future JLA films, needs better and easier writing, lighter camera work (all round) and better direction.

Finished HC season 2. Much like the first started a little slow but got better and better as season went on.

In case anyone was planning on watching it: they all die in the end. <ok>

Shame have to wait a year for season 3 now. Much more of a complete ending than season 1 that ended very openly.

The path is starting back in a few weeks, don't think you can see it in UK. Stars Jessie Pinkman actor from Breaking bad as a man wrapped up in a cult he doesn't believe in. Like HC fast few episodes odlf season 1 were a little slow, but got really good by the end. Oh, and they all die in the end.

That was me. Doesn't make a difference Lost in Translation is still a truly awful film. Just because Lost in Translation pretends to be all indie and 'deep' where as the Superhero films don't (they're Blockbusters no doubt), doesn't mean one has more merit than the other nor that someone can discuss one and then not the other. I was trying to point out why DC can't seem to get it right.
