No we didn't. You're so full of ****. Ask yourself why it is you're so determined to hate Pearson and support the Allams? Why is it so important to try and find a positive which isn't there in everything the Allams do, or failing that just insist the whole thing is a lie. And why is it so important to find negatives which aren't there in other previous owners? Do you have to hate Pearson just out of some ****ed up loyalty to the Allams? That's a really weak attitude for someone who's normally desperate to appear an internet big man.
So we didn't pay over the odds in div 4 then? On crowds of 18000? So wher did the spare cash go? Not on infrastructure or upkeep did it. Pushed through a deal on the smc to a dodgy cockney **** so he got his cash for him and his boss. Oh and I don't hate Pearson. I leave the hate to you.
No I don't think we did overspend. Aside from ridiculous bias, why would anyone think we did? You keep claiming it, I keep saying it's bollocks and you've got nothing. Are you just going to keep repeating it? Upkeep? So to be clear you're in favour of owners spending on upkeep? And not just trying to worm their way out of it and pass it onto the council?
Just to be clear we didn't overspend on 18000 crowds? So we had the same budget as other teams with 4000 gates? So that's a lot of difference in gate receipts isn't it? Do you get that or do I keep repeating it? While Pearson put nothing into the youth set up? He's a **** then.
In the lower leagues we were among the biggest spending sides every season, that's how we managed to get promoted, we had better players than the other teams.
So we over spent then ahh at last. So no money in the youth set up for the good of the club. What a **** that Pearson was
You do know that we won the reserve league in 04/05 season? And the Reserve League Cup in 02/03? And the Youth League by ten points in 06/07? Retaining that title in 07/08? Pearson certainly put the first team as the priority and didn't invest anywhere near the amount the Allams did, but then there was nowhere near so much money sloshing about back then.
A lot of so called lesser clubs still have a better youth set up than us. Why do you hate Pearson?? Arguably If it wasn't for him Ehab wouldn't of got the chance to ruin the club like he is....
The Cat 1 academies are all the Premier League clubs (except us and Burnley) and a eight of the bigger Championship clubs (most of which have traditionally been top flight clubs), there aren't any small clubs in there. The Elite Player Performance Plan and the new academy categories only came into effect in 2012, it's not comparable with the previous system.
No, I'm saying it wasn't a priority and we were competing a completely different level to the one we're at today.
It wasn't, but a lot of the money was put into the first team efforts. When you're playing in Division 3, you can't have it both ways, either the first team takes priority and you fund that or you put in loads of money into the youth and spend nothing on the first team. Under Pearson we had plenty of youngsters come through, didn't Cairney, Oxley and Cullen join while Pearson was there? Pretty sure Liam Cooper, Jamie Devitt and Sonny Bradley also came through (although they didn't necessarily break into the first team) while Pearson was in charge.
I think with the way we are as a club Low capacity stadium/attendances Low sponsership/income (aside from the sky tv cash) Its either try and compete on the pitch paying wages/buying players Or massively upgrade our infrastructre/youth setup I dont think we can afford to do both until we increase our income or massivley improve our squad management (transfers/wages paid) If we were getting big sponser deals and attracting 35,000 plus itd be alot easier to do both Just my opinion could be totally wrong
