Giroud's goal is getting boring now... like one of those songs that come out and you love, but then is overplayed on the radio for about 3 weeks and you start hating it.

Can see how that would lead to trouble really, internet saddos/real life rejects being what they're like innit

I don't let it influence my view of the club, it wasn't the club's fault what happened. They're the third oldest club in the league so it's good to see a historic club coming back imo (not that there aren't already those in the PL)

Haven't even seen it. Just like I haven't even heard any of those songs you're on about

Thing with him is will he turn it on again for the next 3-4 games and go on a run ? Probably, most likely not. He'll disappear again

I tried that mate didn't work sadly.

They may have a dif view now truth is out, as I was mod before truth. But a lot of them was very set in their ways and defend their club at all costs.

Fa should be accountable as previous fixtures had similar issues and valid safety certificate etc, nothing to do with club.

Not the fans fault, but you have no idea the bile spilled about our club and fans by them.

The old rooney overhead was like that.

    They would deffo cream themselves.

Giroud frankly prob had it in mind after Mkhitaryan hit one but I do think it was like that ibrahimovic goal v england. Give him that 100 times again and he would prob miss it 100 times

Giroud's goal was very good but I wouldn't call it goal of the season. Not even sure I'd put it in the shortlist. Now, I now some will react to that but I am being genuine.

For me, any goal that requires a large slice of luck for it to come off doesn't deserve goal of the season. Sure, it's a good bit of improvisation resulting a very good goal but there is no way Giroud knew where that ball was going to end up. He didn't even know what kind of connection he was going to get.

It looked visually spectacular but it's one of those of where you make any sort of contact and hope for the best.

A bazillion years ago, probably in another geological era, I was a teenager playing for NALGO 2nd XI in cricket. I fancied myself as a quickie, but in reality when I was bowling against grown men, as opposed to other 18 year -olds, I was a pie-chucker. To this day, sometimes as I'm drifting off, especially on summer evenings, I can FEEL, never mind visualise, that moment when I was being hit for six back over my head and I just jumped as high as I possibly could and stuck up my left hand (I'm right-handed) and... ift ****ing stuck. Never before or since, even with a tennis ball, never mind a cherry.

We didn't have camera phones and **** knows what back in the day... :emoticon-0108-speec

It was a great goal in terms of entertainment value, but I agree that it's one of those that most of the time would be missed completely - when it comes off it looks spectacular.
Talk of goal of the season or whatever is silly imo - it was a bit of improvisation that came off.

Wow you guys all sound so bitter. It's one of those when tried and it was hit and hope. 100% guaranteed if that was sir stevey starfish or Suarez (Giroud did mean to shoot) then it would have been goal of the millenium and the greatest piece of skill in the world. Cause it was that donkey giroud and le arse we have decided to downgrade it.

We recognise it was a great piece of skill but like the player himself recognised it had a huge element of luck. He did mean to get it onto target but no way did he mean to place it so that the gk could not reach it.

Goal of the season? Possibly but not for me.
